From City Life to Safari Life; Arusha to Ndutu
Early the morning from the lodge/hotel you will get short safari briefing, you’ll begin your journey to Ndutu with a packed lunch for the road. The drive takes about 5.5 hours (around 260 km), and after about two hours, you’ll enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, watch the landscape change—from forested hills to wide-open grasslands.
As you travel deeper, the plains stretch endlessly and slowly blend into the Serengeti. This area is part of the famous route for over 2 million migrating wildebeest, along with thousands of zebras, gazelles, and antelopes.
Between December and April, the plains come alive as the wildebeest give birth, turning Ndutu into a nursery full of newborns—and a hunting ground for predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. The area is also home to six species of big cats, making game drives here especially exciting. With lakes like Ndutu and Masek nearby, wildlife is easy to spot even during the dry season.

In the afternoon, you'll begin the journey toward the Ngorongoro Crater rim, a scenic 2.5-hour drive covering about 75 km. Along the way, you may spot animals still roaming the plains as you gradually climb into the cooler highlands.
Ngorongoro is not only one of Africa’s most breath taking landscapes but also a haven for wildlife, often called a “natural wonder” for good reason.
