After a morning safari briefing, set off from Arusha to the Serengeti with a packed lunch in hand. The drive takes you through the stunning Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where forested hills give way to endless grassy plains.

This is the heart of the Great Migration route — home to over 2 million wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and antelopes. From December to April, the plains transform into a nursery of newborn calves, attracting lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and other big cats. With nearby lakes Ndutu and Masek, wildlife viewing here is spectacular year-round.

From Ndutu serengeti to Karatu through Game Driving

The morning begins in the wild embrace of Ndutu, where the landscape is painted with golden grasses and scattered acacia trees. After breakfast, you set off on a thrilling game drive. The route winds through the southern Serengeti and skirts the edge of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area — a corridor teeming with wildlife and dramatic scenery.

As you drive, the savannah comes alive: herds of zebras and wildebeest cross your path, elephants graze in the distance, and predators may be spotted lounging under trees or stalking the plains. The journey is not just a transfer — it’s a moving safari, each kilometer offering new surprises.

By afternoon, the terrain shifts. You ascend into the cooler highlands, where the lush greenery of Karatu welcomes you. You arrive at your lodge, greeted by warm hospitality and views of rolling hills — the perfect place to unwind and reflect on the day’s adventures.

Ngorongoro Crater Adventure

Start early with a light breakfast before descending into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera — the breath taking Ngorongoro Crater. Over 260 square kilometres of wildlife-rich plains await your 5 to 6-hour game drive, where elephants, buffalo, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions roam freely. Don’t forget your camera — every moment here is a photo opportunity!

Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch near the hippo pool before the steep climb back to the crater rim. Then, embark on the 4-hour drive back to Arusha, arriving in the evening to your hotel or airport, concluding your unforgettable safari journey.
