Day 6

Full-Day Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise Along the Nile River

Full-Day Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise Along the Nile River

There’s something primal about Murchison Falls National Park. Maybe it’s the roar of the Nile as it squeezes through a 7-meter gorge, crashing 43 meters into the Devil’s Cauldron. Or perhaps it’s the silence before a lion stirs in the savannah grass. Either way, this park doesn’t just invite you—it engulfs you.
Our safari begins in the cool morning light, where the amber plains stretch endlessly under a golden sky. Giraffes, elephants, and buffaloes roam gracefully across the savannah while hartebeest and oribi spring through the grasslands.
But the climax of any safari in Murchison Falls National Park is on water. In the afternoon, we board a boat and cruise up the Nile toward the thunder of Murchison Falls. Here, you enjoy the crocodiles and hippos line the banks. Kingfishers dive and fish eagles cry above. Then before long, it appears! The mighty falls. Where Water turns into power, fury, and mist. The boat stops at the base of the falls and we hike to the top where magic happens.
