Nairobi to Taita Wildlife Conservancy

Morning (06:00 AM – 12:30 PM):
Depart early from Nairobi by road for 5-6 hours' drive to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Enjoy a smooth cruise down the highway, watching the scenery transition from the bustling city into deep savannah.

Noon (12:30 PM – 1:30 PM):
Arrive at Kivuko Eco Camp. Settle into one of the 8 traditional canvas tents and enjoy a fresh, home-cooked lunch prepared by the camp chef while looking out over the active watering hole.

Afternoon (3:30 PM – 6:30 PM):
Embark on a guided afternoon game drive, 360-degree sunset views stretching out toward Mount Kasigau and Mount Kilimanjaro.
Wrap up the evening with a dinner and storytelling around a roaring bush bonfire.

Meal plan: Full board (lunch, water, and dinner).

Early Morning (06:30 AM – 12:00 AM):
Set out on a morning game drive in a 4WD camp vehicle. Because Taita is a private conservancy, you can tracking wildlife in complete peace without safari traffic jams. Keep your camera ready for Tsavo's famous red elephants, lions, giraffes, and rare Grevy’s zebras.

Mid-Day (12:30 AM – 03:00 PM):
Return to camp for Lunch. Spend the heat of the day relaxing on your private veranda watching animals come to drink or request an optional cultural excursion to visit the local Kasigau Women Basket Weavers.

Afternoon (03:30 PM – 06:30 PM):
Go on an immersive 3-hour guided game drive keep your camera ready for Tsavo's famous red elephants, lions, giraffes, and rare Grevy’s zebras.

Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary to Nairobi

Morning (07:00 AM – 8:30 AM):
Have a relaxed breakfast while taking in one last view of the sweeping plains. Enjoy a quiet morning birding walk around the camp perimeter, which hosts over 150 unique bird species.

Departure (8:30 AM):
Pack up, check-out and begin your journey back to Nairobi via road or the return SGR train from Miasenyi, arriving back in the capital by late afternoon (Train tickets Economy $ 12 pp, First Class $ 30 pp)
