Your journey begins as you land at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, where you’ll be greeted by a friendly local guide and transferred to Kimaro Hostel, a peaceful and homey base just outside Arusha town.

Settle in, relax after your travels, and enjoy a warm, local dinner. Depending on your arrival time, take a short walk around the neighborhood or simply unwind in the hotel garden with views of Mount Meru in the distance.

In the evening, meet your guide for a group orientation and safari briefing.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park – Into the Wilderness

Tarangire National Park – Into the Wilderness

After breakfast, you’ll head to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most underrated treasures. Known for its massive elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and seasonal riverbeds, Tarangire offers both big-game viewing and peaceful savannah vistas.

With your guide leading the way in a custom safari vehicle, watch for lions, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, and hundreds of bird species along the Tarangire River.

After a picnic lunch in the bush, continue your game drive into the afternoon. As the golden light fades, make your way to your overnight accommodation near the park.

Today, you descend into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera: the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a natural sanctuary brimming with life. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to nearly 25,000 animals, including endangered black rhinos, elusive leopards, majestic elephants, and the highest density of lions in Africa.

Enjoy a full-day game drive along the crater floor, where you might also see flocks of flamingos, jackals, hyenas, and hippos wallowing in the shallow pools.

Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch in the crater before ascending the crater wall and driving to Siafu Serenity lodge for the evening.
