Day 3

Spend a full day exploring the Ndutu area, where the migration herds move across the open plains, often giving birth during the early months of the year. Alongside the dramatic sight of thousands of grazing animals, there’s excellent potential to see big cats, hyenas, jackals, and a wide variety of birds. After an action-packed day in the wild, return to your camp for a second overnight in Ndutu.

Rise early for a journey toward the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. Descend into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera for a game drive on the crater floor, home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife including rhinos, elephants, lions, and hippos. Enjoy a picnic lunch by a scenic lake before ascending the crater walls and returning to Mto wa Mbu for a relaxing evening.
