Tarangire National Park - Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro with a picnic lunch in hand.
The Great Migration is the world’s second longest overland migration, covering about 800 km (500 miles). The southern part of the migration route passes through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where around half a million wildebeest are born between January and March. By March, at the start of the dry season, roughly 1.5 million wildebeest and 250,000 zebras begin moving north toward the Masai Mara in Kenya, joined by common eland and Thomson’s gazelles. In April and May, the herds travel through the Western Corridor. To reach the Masai Mara, they must cross the Grumeti and Mara Rivers, where thousands of crocodiles wait. For every wildebeest caught by crocodiles, 50 more drown. When the dry season ends in late October, the herds begin their journey back south.

Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you can decide with your guide whether to pack picnic lunches or return to the camp for lunch.
The area has many permanent wildlife residents, so game viewing is excellent year-round. Big mammals such as elephants, buffaloes, and giraffes are common, while smaller reptiles and insects also inhabit the trees and rocks. Herbivores like impalas, elands, and topis attract predators including hyenas, wild dogs, wildcats, caracals, and the three big cats: lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
