Mombasa/Diani to Masai Mara

Begin your safari adventure with a self-arranged transfer to either Mombasa or Ukunda (Diani) Airport for your scheduled morning flight to the Masai Mara. Enjoy a scenic journey over Kenya’s coast, the Rift Valley, and rolling savannahs before landing at an airstrip within the Masai Mara National Reserve.

Upon arrival, a safari guide will meet you and transfer you to your lodge or tented camp, located inside or near the reserve. After a warm welcome and check-in, enjoy lunch and a chance to relax as you take in the panoramic views of the Mara.

In the afternoon, set out on your first game drive. The Masai Mara is home to an abundance of wildlife, including elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and—if you're lucky—the elusive leopard. If traveling during the migration season (typically July to October), you may witness thousands of wildebeest and zebras crossing the plains or rivers in dramatic fashion.

Return to your camp or lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight.

Explore Masai Mara

Wake up early and fuel up with breakfast before heading out for a full day of exploration in the Mara. Depending on your preference and the day’s wildlife movements, you may embark on a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch or enjoy morning and afternoon drives with a break at the lodge during midday.

Explore different parts of the reserve, from the open grasslands where predators roam to riverbanks where hippos and crocodiles dwell. Your experienced guide will interpret animal behavior and take you to the best spots for sightings and photography.

In the evening, return to the lodge to freshen up and enjoy another delicious dinner. Spend the night exchanging stories around the campfire or simply listening to the sounds of the wild outside your tent.

Masai Mara to Mombasa/Diani

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and a quiet morning at the lodge. Soak in your final views of the Mara, take photos, or simply unwind before check-out. There is no game drive on this day to allow time for packing and preparing for your return flight.

Late in the morning, you'll be transferred back to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Mombasa or Diani. Upon arrival, your safari concludes.
