Flight from Zanzibar to Arusha Airport - Transfer to Tarangire – The Adventure Begins

Your journey begins with a hotel pick-up in Zanzibar (exact timing depends on your location). By 9:00 AM, our driver will escort you to the airport for your 11:30 AM flight to Arusha. You’ll arrive at 12:45 PM, where our welcoming team will greet you with a warm smile.

Following a brief orientation about your safari, you'll enjoy lunch in the vibrant heart of Arusha city. Then, set off on a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. As you travel, your guide will share stories and insights into the area's landscapes, wildlife, and the traditions of the local Maasai communities.

In the late afternoon, you’ll arrive at your lodge, tucked away in a wildlife-rich area near the park. It’s not uncommon to see elephants or other animals wandering nearby, adding to the excitement of your experience. As the sun sets over the savannah, settle in and enjoy a delicious dinner, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature—your first night deep in the African bush.

Game Drive in Tarangire National Park

After breakfast at 7:00 AM, you’ll depart for Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, your guide will help with park entry formalities before you set out on an exciting game drive. Tarangire is known for its impressive elephant population, ancient baobab trees, and the life-giving Tarangire River, which attracts a wide range of wildlife during the Dry season.

Keep your eyes open for lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, gazelles, and a rich variety of birdlife. Lunch will be served at a scenic picnic site or within the park, depending on the day’s schedule.

In the afternoon, continue your game drive as the sun casts golden light across the landscape. Later, you’ll head to your lodge near the Ngorongoro gate, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Manyara. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater - Flight from Arusha to Zanzibar

Today, you’ll wake early for breakfast and depart at 6:30 AM for Ngorongoro Crater—an early start gives you the best chance to see active wildlife and enjoy the morning light across the crater rim. With a bit of luck, you might even catch the sun rising over the vast landscape.

Spend the day on a game drive exploring the crater floor, where sightings of black rhinos, lions, elephants, hyenas, flamingos, and more are common. This natural amphitheater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers an unmatched safari experience. The descent into the crater feels like entering a hidden world—raw, wild, and unforgettable.

After a picnic lunch, your safari concludes in the afternoon. You’ll then head to Arusha Airport for your 4:30 PM flight back to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, your driver will transfer you to your hotel. As you leave the crater behind, you’ll carry lasting memories of one of Africa’s most iconic landscapes.
