Early in the morning you will be picked up at your accommodation or Arusha Airport and set off on a scenic drive towards Serengeti National Park, passing through Mto wa Mbu, Karatu, and ascending the forested slopes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

You’ll briefly stop at the Loduare Gate (Ngorongoro entry gate) for registration before continuing your journey. As you traverse the Ngorongoro Highlands, enjoy spectacular views of the Ngorongoro Crater floor from a designated viewpoint. Continuing your drive, you will descend into the vast plains of the Serengeti, where an en route game drive begins as soon as you enter the park through the Naabi Hill Gate—the official entry point into the Serengeti ecosystem.

Enjoy sightings of giraffes, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, and possibly big cats later evening arrive at your accommodation in central Serengeti in the late afternoon. After check-in and a short rest, enjoy dinner and overnight under the African skies.

Day 2

Game Drive in Serengeti National Park & Transfer to Ngorongoro Highlands

Start the day with an early breakfast, then head out for a full-day game drive in the Serengeti, exploring its diverse landscapes and rich wildlife. Depending on the season, you may witness parts of the Great Migration, as massive herds of wildebeest and zebras move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. Your guide will help track wildlife including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and hyenas.

You’ll enjoy a packed lunch at a scenic picnic site inside the park, then continue your game drive as you gradually make your way toward the Naabi Hill Gate to exit the Serengeti. From there, you’ll travel back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Karatu, located just outside the Ngorongoro Crater rim.

Arrive at your lodge in Karatu in the early evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

After an early breakfast, depart your lodge and drive toward the Loduare Gate to re-enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will then descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most iconic wildlife destinations in Africa. Known as the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world, the crater is home to nearly every species of wildlife found in East Africa, including the rare black rhino, lions, buffalo, hippos, and elephants, all thriving within this self-contained ecosystem.

Enjoy a half-day game drive across the crater floor, with a stop for a picnic lunch near the Ngoitoktok Springs, a scenic spot often visited by hippos and elephants. After lunch, ascend from the crater and begin your return drive to Arusha, and be dropped off at your accommodation or Arusha Airport according to your preference.
