Day 2
Transfer to Tarangire national park
Transfer to Tarangire national park
After breakfast, your Highneck Safari guide will collect you from your lodge for the approximately two-and-a-half-hour drive to Tarangire National Park via good tarmac roads. Named after the Tarangire River, the only reliable water source in the dry season the park is famous for its large elephant herds often seen gathering by the river. You may also spot giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, while predators like lions and leopards often lurk nearby.
Tarangire boasts the greatest variety of bird species in the world and features ancient baobab trees, some over a thousand years old. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic spot within the park. After your game drive, you’ll transfer to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3
Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you’ll journey into the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a chance to pause and admire the stunning views of the Ngorongoro Crater. Your adventure then continues through the conservation area to the southern reaches of Serengeti National Park.
Renowned for its sweeping grasslands and exceptional wildlife viewing, the Serengeti is especially famous for the Great Migration an awe-inspiring spectacle of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes moving in search of fresh grazing, depending on the season.
Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch during your journey and look forward to a magical overnight stay in carefully selected accommodations nestled in the heart of the Serengeti.

Day 6

After a hearty breakfast, set off on a scenic drive to the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, taking in stunning landscapes and spotting wildlife along the way. Your afternoon will be spent exploring this natural marvel before continuing to your accommodation in Karatu.
Surrounded by steep volcanic walls, the Ngorongoro Crater is a spectacular haven of life and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Formed over two million years ago, it is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, featuring golden savannahs, shimmering lakes, acacia woodlands, and lush wetlands.
Descending into the crater is a breathtaking experience, with incredible views and rich wildlife at every turn. On the crater floor, expect to see herds of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species, including flamingos and crowned cranes. With a bit of luck, you may even encounter the rare black rhino grazing in the open plains making this journey truly unforgettable.

Day 7

This morning, you’ll set off for Lake Manyara National Park, your final destination on this remarkable safari. Located 120 km west of Arusha, Lake Manyara is a compact yet incredibly diverse park. Though one of the narrowest parks in Africa, it feels expansive, with the dramatic Great Rift Escarpment rising sharply along its western edge.
At the heart of the park lies the shallow soda lake, which swells and shrinks with the seasons and attracts thousands of wading birds, including flamingos and over 500 other bird species. As you explore, you may encounter baboons and elephants in the dense evergreen forests, and with some luck, spot the famous tree-climbing lions resting in the branches.
A picnic lunch will be enjoyed within the park. After your game drive, we’ll transfer you to Arusha where you will have your dinner and vernight at summit safari lodge.
