Day 1

Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Arusha or Moshi to the Marangu Gate, the starting point of one of Kilimanjaro’s most popular routes. After registering at the park, you’ll start your trek through the lush rainforest, surrounded by towering trees and the calls of exotic birds. The trail ascends gently to Mandara Hut, located at 2,700 meters, where you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch and have the option to walk to Maundi Crater for spectacular views of the surrounding landscapes. Later in the afternoon, descend back to the gate and drive to Moshi for dinner and overnight stay.

Here, a short but scenic hike leads you to the magnificent Materuni Waterfalls, where crystal-clear waters plunge into a natural pool. Your local guide will share insights into Chagga traditions before inviting you to a hands-on coffee-making session. You’ll pick, roast, and grind your own beans before enjoying a fresh cup of Kilimanjaro coffee. After lunch, drive back to Arusha where you’ll have dinner and spend the night in preparation for your safari adventure.

Day 3

An early departure takes you across the Ngorongoro Highlands and down into the vast plains of the Serengeti. Along the way, enjoy game viewing as wildlife becomes more abundant the closer you get to the park’s heart. After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive, where you might spot herds of wildebeest, elephants, giraffes, and perhaps a lion resting under the acacia trees. The day concludes with dinner and an overnight stay at a tented camp or lodge inside the Serengeti, allowing you to fall asleep to the sounds of the African wilderness.
