Arusha to Northern Serengeti (Mara River)

In the morning, take a scenic flight from Zanzibar or Arusha to the Kogatende Airstrip in the northern Serengeti. Upon arrival, meet your safari guide and set out on your first game drive in the legendary Mara River area. This region is world-famous for the Great Migration crossings, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras gather along the riverbanks. Keep your camera ready for possible sightings of lions, cheetahs, and large Nile crocodiles. After a picnic lunch, continue your game drive until evening, then head to your camp in Lobo for dinner and overnight stay.

Northern Serengeti (Lobo & Mara River)

After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive to explore both the Mara River and Lobo areas. The northern Serengeti is less crowded than the central region, offering a more exclusive wildlife experience. Depending on the migration patterns, you may witness thrilling river crossings or large herds grazing across the golden plains. Your guide will also track predators such as leopards, lions, and hyenas, as well as elephants, giraffes, and buffalo. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild before continuing your afternoon game drive. Return to camp for dinner and a relaxing evening under the African stars.

Northern Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Drive to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend into the world’s largest unbroken caldera for a half-day game drive. The crater floor hosts an incredible variety of wildlife, including the endangered black rhino, lions, elephants, hippos, and flocks of flamingos on Lake Magadi. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool before ascending the crater rim in the afternoon. Continue to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward journey, concluding your short but spectacular safari.
