Morning: Depart from Arusha and head to Tarangire National Park. Famous for its massive elephant herds, iconic baobabs, and the lifeline Tarangire River, the park promises excellent wildlife viewing year-round. Afternoon: Enjoy a full game drive seeking elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and predators like lions. Optionally, spot leopards occasionally. Evening: Transfer to the Lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight stay at Marera Valley Lodge.

Consider stopping at Olduvai Gorge, renowned for its paleoanthropological significance, for a brief cultural/historical visit. Afternoon: Enter the Serengeti (central region, e.g., Seronera or Ndutu—especially great during calving season; see below) and begin game drives in a wildlife-rich area. Evening, overnight at a campsite, Enkirari Wilderness Camp in central Serengeti or near Ndutu, depending on the timing and wildlife movements.

If traveling between December and March, the Ndutu region often hosts the Great Wildebeest Migration’s calving season—an extraordinary wildlife spectacle. Wildlife: Expect to see wildebeest, zebras, predators (lions, cheetahs, leopards), and a variety of plains game and birdlife. Evening: Drive to the Camp for Dinner and Overnight at Enkutoto Migration Camp.

Late Afternoon: Climb out of the crater and drive to Karatu—arrival expected in late evening for Dinner and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge.
