Morning: After breakfast, drive toward the Serengeti through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Consider stopping at Olduvai Gorge, renowned for its paleoanthropological significance, for a brief cultural/historical visit. Afternoon: Enter the Serengeti (central region, e.g., Seronera or Ndutu—especially great during calving season; see below) and begin game drives in a wildlife-rich area. Evening, overnight at a campsite, Enkirari Wilderness Camp in central Serengeti or near Ndutu, depending on the timing and wildlife movements.

Morning to Afternoon: Spend a full day exploring the central Serengeti or Ndutu Plains. If traveling between December and March, the Ndutu region often hosts the Great Wildebeest Migration’s calving season—an extraordinary wildlife spectacle. Wildlife: Expect to see wildebeest, zebras, predators (lions, cheetahs, leopards), and a variety of plains game and birdlife. Evening: Drive to the Camp for Dinner and Overnight at Enkutoto Migration Camp.

Early Morning: Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. This UNESCO-listed caldera is famed for its high concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five and rare black rhinos. Highlights: Look out for lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, hippos, flamingos, and more, as you enjoy a picnic-style safari. Late Afternoon: Climb out of the crater and drive to Karatu—arrival expected in late evening for Dinner and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge.
