Day 1

Mombasa or Diani beach to Tsavo East

Mombasa or Diani beach to Tsavo East

You’ll be picked up early in the morning from your hotel in Mombasa or Diani Beach in a 4x4 safari jeep, designed for off-road adventure and panoramic views.
As you leave the palm-fringed coastline, the scenery transitions from lush coconut groves to the dry scrublands. After 3-4 hours, you will arrive at Ngutuni Lodge, set within its own private 10,000-acre game sanctuary bordering Tsavo East. The lodge overlooks a natural waterhole that attracts wildlife.
After lunch and a short rest, set off for an afternoon game drive. The golden light of late afternoon paints the savannah, offering stunning photographic moments. Tsavo East is famous for its vast open savannahs and red-dust elephants. You may encounter herds of elephants rolling in the red earth, majestic lions resting under acacia trees, graceful giraffes, and a variety of antelopes.

Return to lodge for dinner. Spend the evening watching nocturnal animals visit the floodlit waterhole before retiring for the night.
