Arusha to Lake Manyara

After an early breakfast, you will meet your professional safari guide and depart for Lake Manyara National Park. The drive is scenic, taking you down the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley, offering stunning panoramic views.
Afternoon: Enter the park and begin your game drive. Lake Manyara is a beautiful and compact gem, famously known for its tree-climbing lions and vast troops of baboons and blue monkeys. The park's groundwater forest is a stark contrast to the open savannahs of other parks. Look for elephants, giraffes, and buffalo in the forest glades, and keep an eye on the acacia trees for a rare sighting of a lion resting on a branch. The alkaline lake itself attracts thousands of flamingos and other waterbirds, creating a spectacular pink hue along the shore.
Evening: After an exciting afternoon of game viewing, ascend the Rift Valley wall to the charming Marera Valley Lodge. Enjoy the stunning views over the valley, relax by the pool, and savor a delicious dinner.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and functions as a natural enclosure for an astonishing concentration of wildlife. Enjoy a morning game drive on the crater floor, often called the "Garden of Eden." This is one of the best places in Africa to see the endangered black rhinoceros, as well as prides of lion, hyena, elephant, and vast herds of wildebeest and zebra. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Ngoitokitok picnic site, a beautiful spot next to a hippo-filled pool.
