Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be warmly welcomed by a Berngo Safaris representative and transferred to your lodge in Arusha town. Depending on your arrival time, relax at the lodge, enjoy views of Mount Meru, or take a short optional city tour. This day allows you to recover from your journey and prepare for the adventure ahead. Overnight stay at a carefully selected lodge in Arusha.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, approximately 2–3 hours’ drive from Arusha. The park is famous for its large elephant herds, majestic baobab trees, and diverse wildlife concentrated along the Tarangire River. Enjoy a full-day game drive with picnic lunch inside the park. Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater is one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife destinations, home to the Big Five including the rare black rhino. Expect to see lions, elephants, hippos, buffalo, zebras, and flamingos near the soda lake. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before ascending in the afternoon and proceeding to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.
