Day 1

We will pick you up from your lodge and set off for an unforgettable encounter with Africa’s wilderness at Tarangire National Park, including a picnic lunch during the 2-hour drive. Tarangire is renowned for hosting Tanzania’s largest population of African elephants. Spend the day on immersive game drives, traversing stunning landscapes and marveling at magnificent elephant herds and ancient baobab trees.

Enjoy a delightful picnic lunch amidst the wilderness, accompanied by an expert guide who will help you fully experience the sights and sounds of the African bush. While elephants take center stage, the park is also home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, and a variety of antelope species, including impalas and gazelles. After lunch, continue with a transfer game drive en route to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and begin your journey to the Serengeti. On the way, you will pass the Ngorongoro Crater and enjoy its stunning views before continuing to your destination. The name “Serengeti” comes from the Maasai word Siringitu, meaning “endless plains,” and you’ll soon see why—the vast grassland stretches to the horizon, interrupted only by dramatic kopjes, unique granite rock formations shaped by weathering.

These plains provide ideal hunting grounds for leopards and other big cats, giving you an excellent chance to spot these magnificent creatures from the open roof of your vehicle. In the afternoon, enjoy a traditional home-cooked meal before arriving at your lodge for the evening.

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro

After breakfast, continue your game drive through Serengeti National Park. In the Seronera Valley, you’ll encounter hundreds of wildebeest and zebras, as well as lions and other big cats such as leopards and cheetahs. Take a midday break with a delicious lunch within the park before embarking on a transfer game drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands, en route to your lodge.

If you wish, you can also visit a Maasai village to experience the local culture. Enjoy the warm afternoon light and cooler temperatures as you leave the park, taking in different perspectives of the wildlife along the way.

Track the Big Five and enjoy the crater’s unique ecosystem, offering excellent opportunities to spot a variety of wildlife, including rare and endangered rhinos and leopards. Prepare for unforgettable encounters as animals roam freely in this natural wonder.

As the day winds down, enjoy a transfer game drive while exiting the crater, then continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, we’ll leave the lodge and head to Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day safari and lunch in the park. Nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley, the park offers a stunning backdrop of the alkaline Lake Manyara. Encounter tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, and a variety of bird species, including flamingos and pelicans.

With diverse habitats ranging from dense forests to open plains, every game drive offers a unique and captivating experience. After lunch, enjoy a transfer game drive as you return to Arusha, marking the end of the tour. Our itineraries are flexible and can be customized upon request.
