Your adventure begins with a warm welcome from your Giant Holiday Safaris guide in Entebbe. After introductions, you’ll head north toward Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, you’ll stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where rhinos roam freely in the wild. After tracking these endangered giants, continue the drive with a lunch stop en route. Later, you’ll enter Murchison Falls National Park and visit the top of the falls, where the Nile dramatically squeezes through an 8-meter gorge, creating one of the world’s most powerful waterfalls. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Rise early for breakfast before setting off on a game drive across the savannah plains. Expect sightings of lions, leopards, hyenas, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, waterbucks, and countless antelopes. After a rewarding drive, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. Along the banks, you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, and elephants cooling off, alongside an abundance of birdlife. The cruise offers unforgettable photography opportunities. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

After breakfast, check out and begin your journey to Kibale Forest National Park, renowned for its dense primate population. The scenic drive passes through lush countryside, with a lunch stop in Hoima or Fort Portal, depending on timing. Arrive in the late afternoon, where playful baboons may greet you along the way. Dinner and overnight at your lodge near the forest, preparing you for the next day’s chimpanzee trek.

After an early breakfast, head to the Kibale National Park headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking. Accompanied by rangers, you’ll venture into the rainforest in search of a habituated chimp community. Once found, you’ll spend up to an hour observing their playful and social behavior.
Later in the afternoon, visit the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-managed project rich in birdlife, primates, and cultural encounters. Here, you’ll learn how the locals contribute to conservation efforts while enjoying a guided nature walk. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy breakfast, then set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most diverse safari destination. After checking in and having lunch, embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway linking Lake Edward and Lake George. Expect to see elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and numerous birds along the shores.
In the evening, head out for a game drive, where you may spot lions, leopards, Uganda kobs, and more before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

This is one of the few places in Africa where these big cats are regularly seen perched in fig trees. Continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the endangered mountain gorillas. Check in at your lodge for dinner and rest, ready for the highlight of your safari the next day.

Wake up early for breakfast, then proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking regulations. In groups of eight, you’ll be guided into the dense rainforest to track a gorilla family. Spending an hour in the presence of these gentle giants is a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience. After the trek, receive a gorilla trekking certificate as recognition of your contribution to conservation.
Later, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Africa’s most scenic lakes, surrounded by rolling hills and dotted with 29 islands. Dinner and overnight by the lakeshore.

On your final day, enjoy an early game drive in Lake Mburo National Park, offering a chance to see animals you may have missed previously. After breakfast, begin the journey back to Entebbe, approximately 3–4 hours away. Depending on your schedule, you’ll be transferred to either your hotel or directly to Entebbe International Airport for your departure. This marks the end of your 9-day Uganda primates and wildlife safari.
