Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of the Arusha region and experience glimpses of local life in small towns before reaching the organized city of Arusha. Once at the hotel, you will meet your tour crew and check your bike for the upcoming adventure. A detailed briefing about your tour will follow, and if time permits, you can explore the city of Arusha at your leisure.

Day 2
Arusha – Lake Chala

Today, we begin our tour from your hotel/Lion HQ and head toward Lake Chala via Mererani, passing through the Tanzanite mining areas. Along the way, we stop at Chemka Hot Springs for a swim and enjoy a hot lunch. We then continue riding toward Lake Chala, where we overnight at Lake Chala Lodge. Here, you can enjoy stunning views of the lake and the sounds of baboons and birds. The route includes mixed terrain, with rocky, gravel, dusty, or muddy sections depending on the season, and some off-road stretches can be challenging.

Day 3
Lake Chala – West Kilimanjaro
Lake Chala – West Kilimanjaro
We will leave Baboon Land and ride from the windward to the leeward side of Mount Kilimanjaro, returning to the windward side. Along the way, we hope to catch views of both peaks, Mawenzi and Kibo, often visible only in the morning and evening. This is a chance to experience the culture of the Chagga tribes, traditional guardians of Kilimanjaro. We stop for a picnic and, if lucky, may spot mountain primates like black-and-white colobus monkeys and blue monkeys in the forest reserve. Our ride follows a mix of newly paved roads and dirt tracks near the Tanzania-Kenya border, ending with an overnight stay in a lodge.

Day 4

We begin the day leaving Simba Farm Lodge and its cool weather, riding toward the stunning Enduimet Game Reserve. Along the way, we hope to spot wildlife such as giraffes, elephants, and impalas. Next, we head toward the Longido Mountains, passing through the small town of Longido, and continue to Kitumbeine for a lunch break under a large tree. From there, we ride to Lake Natron, greeted by the majestic view of Mount Lengai, the “Mountain of God,” and explore the surrounding area. The ride is mostly off-road (around 95%) and can be hot and dusty, but offers incredible wildlife, landscapes, and cultural experiences.

Day 5

We begin the day exploring the breathtaking Lake Natron area, riding and walking around the lake to admire its unique landscapes and abundant birdlife. We then ride about 30 km to visit the hot springs before returning to the hotel for a hot lunch. In the afternoon, we visit Engaresero Waterfalls for a refreshing swim and explore a nearby Maasai Boma to learn about local culture. Later, we spend some time in the small town enjoying a barbecue before returning to the hotel to relax and unwind.

Day 6

On the last day, we wake up to the birdsong at our beautiful hotel and enjoy a delicious breakfast with the local people. We then begin our scenic ride through rugged terrain and Maasai villages, stopping to take photos of the majestic Oldonyo Lengai (Mountain of God). Passing through the Hollow of God (“Shimo La Mungu”), we may stop for lunch before continuing the approximately five-hour ride to Arusha, depending on the riders’ pace. Along the way, we encounter wildlife, stunning landscapes, and more Maasai villages. The ride covers mixed terrain, with about 70% off-road and 30% on asphalt.

Day 7
Arusha- Departure
Arusha- Departure
This epic motorcycle adventure comes to an end. You will be transferred to the airport, or you can choose to extend your journey with a safari to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater or relax on the beaches of Zanzibar.
