Day 1

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Program Of the day: Our Serengeti Gnu Adventures representative Safari guide, from our office will pick you up from the Airport or hotel in Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park for the game drive for wildlife sighting while carrying lunch boxes. Once we finish game drive we will transfer you to the lodge where we stop for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

The Park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. The Park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. Lunch will be at a picnic site inside the Park.

Program Of the day: Get up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast and after breakfast, our safari guide will pick you up from the lodge and then depart to Lake Eyasi where the location is famous for being home to the Hadzabe - the last hunter-gatherers of East Africa whose practices have remained the same for over 10,000 years. Besides the Hadzabe there is another tribe that lives nearby - the Datogas. The Datogas however are more like the Maasai. They engage in agriculture and are excellent at working with metals. The shallow salty waters of the lake also attract a lot of birds. Flamingos, weavers, storks, and many others can be found enjoying the salty water or the shade of the trees. After all these activities you will be transferred back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Program Of the day: Get up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast and after breakfast, our safari guide will pick you up from the lodge and then depart to Ngorongoro for game drive inside Ngorongoro Crater for wildlife sighting while carrying lunch boxes. Once game drive is done you will be transferred to the Camp located inside the Serengeti Park for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

This Park appears to be a lost world when you first arrive to Ngorongoro Crater. There is a beautiful environment with shimmering lakes and wetlands, patches of acacia woodland, and broad savannah hidden behind the sheer volcanic walls. The Crater was formed two to three million years ago when a massive volcano exploded and fell in on itself. It's well-known for its geological wonders as well as being a nature reserve that harbors some of the largest populations of huge mammals on the African continent.

Program Of the day: Get up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast and after breakfast we will continue with game drives in Serengeti Park for wildlife sighting, then in the afternoon depart to Karatu Village for overnight stay.

Although the Serengeti is home to a wide variety of animals, including hippo, buffalo, crocodiles, and impala, it is most known for its massive migratory herds of antelope (half a million), wildebeest (one and a half million), and zebras (two hundred and fifty thousand). Rainfall determines the animals' journey, which changes every year. In addition to the migratory herds, we might witness lions, cheetahs, and leopards.

Program Of the day: The day begins with a warm welcome and guided walk through lush banana plantations and rice fields, where you will learn about local farming techniques and sample banana beer, followed by an exploration of the bustling village market filled with fresh produce, colorful fabrics, and spices. A traditional Tanzanian lunch is served in a local household or community restaurant, offering authentic dishes such as ugali, rice pilau, plantains, beans, chapati, and fresh fruits. In the afternoon, you will visit craft workshops to observe Makonde woodcarving, Tinga-Tinga painting, and beadwork, with the chance to try your hand at creating souvenirs.
