Ivory Moon Arrival & Sunset Drive

Take a morning flight from Cape Town to Hoedspruit Airport (flight included, quoted at a fixed rate but may vary at time of booking). Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Ivory Moon Lodge and check in at your luxurious accommodation. Enjoy a delicious lunch at 13:30.

At 15:00, set out on a 3-hour sunset drive in Blue Canyon Reserve with sundowners and snacks. Return to Ivory Moon Lodge between 19:00 and 19:30 for dinner.

Full-Day Kruger Safari

You will depart at 05:00 for a full-day safari in Kruger National Park’s Orpen Satara area, renowned for high lion concentrations and Big 5 sightings (bottled water and packed breakfast provided).

In the afternoon, you will return to Ivory Moon Lodge for a restful evening and dinner.

Full-Day Panorama Route Tour

08:20 to 08:40: Depart for a full-day Panorama Route tour, visiting the Drakensberg escarpment, Blyde River Canyon, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, and God’s Window.

16:30: Return to Ivory Moon Lodge and relax by the fire as the sun sets over Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate.

18:30: Enjoy an early dinner with authentic South African cuisine by a 5-star chef.

19:30: Go on a 1-hour night drive in Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate in an open safari vehicle with a spotlight, spotting bush babies, porcupines, leopards, hyenas, and plains game.

21:00: Return to the lodge, toast with Amarula by the fire, and enjoy African night sounds.

Option: Guests may swap the Panorama Route tour for an additional full-day Kruger National Park safari to pursue more Big 5 sightings (subject to availability, no extra cost). This must be booked in advance; please inform us at the time of reservation to secure your preference.

Final Bushwalk & Farewell

06:00: Start your final day with a 1.5-hour guided bushwalk in Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, led by expert guides. Discover insects, vibrant trees, plants, and plains game like zebras, impalas, and kudus, with fascinating insights into tracks and flora.

07:30: Return to Ivory Moon Lodge for a delicious breakfast on the viewing deck, immersed in bush sights and sounds.

10:30: Check out, and transfer to Johannesburg International Airport, arriving between 17:00 and 18:00.

Option: Swap the bushwalk for a 3-hour sunrise safari in a Big 5 Private reserve (extra cost, contact us).
