After arrival in Arusha City, often known as Tanzania’s “safari capital,” you will enjoy a short city tour before your safari adventure begins. Nestled at the foot of Mount Meru, Arusha is a lively hub with a pleasant climate, colorful markets, and a mix of cultures. The city is the gateway to the northern safari circuit, offering a chance to experience local life, visit cultural sites, and enjoy views of Mount Kilimanjaro on clear days. Later, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and drive 38 km on a tarmac road to Arusha National Park with packed lunch.

Day 2

After breakfast, start with your safari from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is famous for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular between June and September, the dry period. During this time, thousands of animals like wildebeest, buffalo, and oryx migrate from the dry Maasai steeple to the Tarangire River looking for water. Lions, leopards and other predators follow the herds. Tarangire is home to over 500 varieties of birds. Have lunch and take a late afternoon game viewing. Drive to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay at Ngare lodge.

After breakfast we drive on a tarmac road with a lunch box to Lake Manyara National Park for afternoon game drives. Start the game drive through underground water forest, proceed to acacia woodland savanna open land, pass by hot water spring, and proceed to Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara is home of many flamingos and other water birds. The park is home of tree climbing lions, hippo, elephant, zebra, buffalo, giraffe, baboon, blue and velvet monkey, warthog, and more. About 350 species of birds have been recorded here. You will have a picnic lunch, dinner, and overnight at Ngare lodge.

Day 4

Lake manyara-Serengeti National Park
You will have an early morning breakfast in the lodge, then drive to the great Serengeti National Park with lunch and game drives en route. During your afternoon game drive in the park, you might see lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, wild dog, gazelles, crocodile, and more. Lots of birds include the migrants. Proceed with game viewing around Seronera or eastward, dinner and overnight will be Tukaone Weavers.

The Northern Serengeti is one of the most breathtaking and remote regions of the park, best known for the annual Great Wildebeest Migration. Between July and October, thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles cross the Mara and Grumeti Rivers, often facing crocodiles and predators, creating one of nature’s most dramatic spectacles. Even outside migration season, the area offers excellent game viewing, with abundant elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Its rolling hills, riverine forests, and open plains make the Northern Serengeti both scenic and rich in wildlife, while being less crowded than the central regions.

On the second day, you will enjoy a full-day game drive in the Northern Serengeti, one of the most breathtaking and remote regions of the park. This area is world-renowned for the Great Wildebeest Migration, where between July and October, vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles attempt the dramatic crossings of the Mara and Grumeti Rivers, often challenged by crocodiles and predators. Even beyond migration season, the Northern Serengeti offers superb wildlife viewing, with elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and cheetahs commonly seen. The landscape, with its rolling hills, riverine forests, and open plains, provides both beauty and incredible game-viewing opportunities, while remaining less crowded than the western region.

Breakfast will be followed by a morning and afternoon game drive in the park. In the afternoon, we will continue with game viewing to the northeast of the park. This is the Grumeti river area, where the main path of the Serengeti wildebeest migration passes through. Dinner and overnight will be at Tukaone Tented Camp.

The safari ends in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its breathtaking scenery, abundant wildlife, and Maasai culture. Here you will explore the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and one of the best places to see the Big Five in a single day. After your crater game drive and picnic lunch, you will drive back to Arusha and be transferred to the airport for your departure, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzania safari.
