Your adventure begins with an early morning flight from Zanzibar to Arusha, where you will be welcomed by your professional safari guide. After a short briefing about the trip, you will set off for Tarangire National Park, a beautiful reserve renowned for its giant baobab trees and vast landscapes.

The park is home to one of the largest elephant populations in East Africa, and during your afternoon game drive you will have the chance to see large herds up close. Tarangire is also rich in predators such as lions and leopards, along with zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and over 400 species of birds. The scenic views, combined with the abundance of wildlife, make this park a perfect start to your safari adventure.

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will depart for the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera and is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife.

Descend 600 meters onto the crater floor for a full-day game drive. Along with hippos wallowing in the pools, flamingos dancing on the lakeshores, and countless gazelles and zebras grazing in the open plains. The rich diversity of habitats within the crater creates a unique ecosystem where wildlife thrives, offering you a once-in-a-lifetime safari experience.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the crater, surrounded by breath taking views. In the late afternoon, ascend from the crater and return to Country Lodge Karatu, where you can relax and enjoy a hearty dinner before overnighting in comfort.

Lake Manyara National Park Game Drive – Fly Back to Zanzibar

After breakfast at the lodge, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a beautiful reserve set against the dramatic backdrop of the Great Rift Valley. Although one of Tanzania’s smaller parks, it is incredibly diverse, offering a mix of lush groundwater forests, open savannahs, and the sparkling soda lake itself.

During your morning game drive, you may encounter the park’s famous tree-climbing lions, as well as large herds of elephants, hippos, giraffes, buffalo, and troops of baboons. The lake is often alive with thousands of flamingos and other bird species, making it a paradise for bird lovers and photographers alike.

After a scenic picnic lunch inside the park, enjoy a leisurely game drive as you exit. You will then be driven back to Arusha in time for your afternoon flight to Zanzibar, where your unforgettable 3-day safari adventure comes to an end.
