Upon arrival in Nairobi, meet your driver-guide and drive through the scenic Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake fringed with papyrus and acacia woodlands. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon boat ride across the lake. Watch pods of hippos wallowing in the water, fish eagles swooping down for their catch, and giraffes and waterbucks grazing along the shoreline. You may also visit Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, famed for its spectacular setting around a shallow alkaline lake. Check in at your lodge, then set off for an afternoon game drive. Nakuru is one of the best places in Kenya to see both black and white rhinos, often spotted grazing by the lakeshore. The park also shelters Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, buffaloes, waterbucks, and leopards. Birdlife thrives here, with flamingos, pelicans, and more than 400 recorded species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Leave Nakuru after breakfast and head for the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve. The journey takes you through rolling highlands and open savannah until you reach the park in time for lunch. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive across the golden plains. The Mara’s wildlife is extraordinary — herds of elephants, towers of giraffes, prides of lions, and much more. End your day watching the sun set over the savannah before returning to your camp or lodge for dinner.
