Great safari in the Masai Mara!
5/5

My husband and I did a 6-day safari with John as our guide. We spent 1 day in Lake Nakuru, then 2 days in Kilima Camp (Mara triangle conservancy) and 3 days in the Masai Mara National Park.

Overall, we had an absolutely amazing time. In Lake Nakuru, we saw Rhinos, even a baby rhino, so many buffalos, various kinds of antilopes, many elephants, hippos and flamingos. In Masai Mara, we saw lions, crocodiles, a cheetah and a large group of vultures feeding on an eland carcasse, many giraffes and zebras of course.

John was a really great guide, always on time, and explained so much to us about the different animals, plants and birds. He insisted we start our safari early because that’s when predators are active and interesting things can happen, and we definitely got rewarded for this. We learned so much about the hunting behaviors of the predators. He was also very nice and kind, and even invited us into his home for a lunch which his wife prepared. It was really tasty and we will need to learn how to make such good chapati ourselves.

John also tried everything in his power to find us the animals we wanted to see. Towards the end of the safari, we were looking for a cheetah. To find one, John drove us through some places cheetahs like to hide in without any luck. Then, one of his friends called and told him a cheetah was spotted about an hour’s drive from where we were and John drove us there and we saw the cheetah, which was really cool.

I can highly recommend John as a guide. We felt very well taken care of, he is very knowledgeable and we had a great time.

Excellent safari planned bay Nasaru safaris
5/5

From the moment we started communicating with Caren via WhatsApp, she was excellent with communication and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. The service was fantastic, from sending the quotation and providing alternative accommodation options to making the booking and arranging payments.
I travelled with my fiancée, and we thoroughly enjoyed our seven-day safari stay. Everything was well organised, from the airport pick-up to the safari experience and finally our airport drop-off.
We had a wonderful experience with Nasaru Safaris, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and well-organised safari experience. Thank you, Caren, and the entire Nasaru Safaris team, for making our trip memorable!

A professional, kind, and attentive team
5/5

The person responsible for confirming our itinerary, hotel arrangements, and airport pickup is Henry. He is extremely responsible and answered every one of our questions patiently.

Before starting our safari, they customized exclusive water cups and hats for us, this was a truly delightful surprise.

The person in charge of our safari was John. His driving skills are excellent. We need to drive for many hours every day, and he handles the road smoothly without getting carsick. Even when we meet challenging terrains in the park, he passes through them effortlessly.

John has many years experience with safaris, always finding animals with pinpoint accuracy and putting the vehicle in the perfect spot. He also provides detailed commentary, like a walking encyclopedia.

Throughout the entire trip, my friends and I had a wonderful time without encountering any dangerous or unpleasant experiences. I feel fortunate to have chosen them.

Unforgettable experience
5/5

Our Masai Mara safari was one of the most unforgettable trips we’ve ever taken. We spent 6 days there, staying in both the Mara Triangle and the main Masai Mara reserve, and each spot had its own charm.

The Mara Triangle was quiet, peaceful, and felt super remote – like we had the whole place to ourselves. We saw elephants, giraffes, tons of zebras, and even a leopard just lounging in a tree. The landscape was stunning, and the game drives were so relaxing and immersive.

Then we moved to the main reserve, which had a bit more activity and excitement. We saw plenty of lions, including some adorable cubs, along with cheetahs, hyenas, and huge herds of antelope and buffalo. Our guide was fantastic – really knew his stuff and made every drive feel special.

We also got the chance to visit a nearby Masai village, which was such a meaningful part of the trip. It was amazing to learn about their culture and way of life.

Even though we went in late March and missed the migration, the wildlife was still incredible, and the experience overall was just magical. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Amazing experience
5/5

We spent 6 days on safari in the Masai Mara, and it was honestly one of the most incredible experiences we’ve ever had. We split our stay between the Mara Triangle and the main Masai Mara park, and I’m so glad we did – both were amazing in their own ways.

The Mara Triangle felt more remote and peaceful, with fewer vehicles around. It gave us this raw, untouched vibe, and the wildlife was incredible – we saw leopards 2 times, cheetahs 4 times, elephants, and so much more. It was like being in a nature documentary.

Then in the main park, the action really picked up. We saw Big Four (Only Rhino remained Elusive), tons of lions (even cubs!). Our guide John was fantastic – super knowledgeable and passionate – and they really made the whole trip special.

We also got a chance to visit a local Masai village, which added such a meaningful cultural touch. It was humbling and beautiful to see their way of life up close.

It’s hard to put into words just how magical the whole experience was. If you’ve ever dreamed of going on safari, Masai Mara will blow you away. We’ll be talking about this trip for years.

Epic safari experience
5/5

We spent 4 days on safari with John, traveling by Land Cruiser from Nairobi to Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru. John was an expert driver, navigating the roads to and in the parks incredibly well. He has deep knowledge of the parks and the wildlife in them. The number and variety of animals we saw exceeded all our expectations. John’s knowledge of the animals and their behavior added to the richness of our experience. We were often the first vehicle to spot something interesting, even if that meant traveling on little used paths. John was also gracious in his hospitality, setting up a sunset picnic spot one day and sunrise picnic spot the next. In the end we are glad we decided to drive from Nairobi, even with the rough roads. We took in Maasai and Kenyan life as we drove through small towns and rural areas, with John offering explanations along the way. Our trip was epic, and John was an important part of what made it special.
