Very professional and responsive team who made sure we had an amazing experience.
Firstly, communication was amazing as Wislay and Geoffrey were very responsive and super nice. The accommodations were also top notch and the activities we did were amazing. Secondly, Our guide, Lee was awesome as he ensured we saw a ton of animals while still getting to enjoy the accommodations. If your looking for an unforgettable experience, than I highly recommend Family Leisure.

Family Leisure is wonderful in every way!
From first contact, we knew we were in good hands with Family Leisure. Wislay was super responsive and patient with the many (so many!) permutations we asked him to run until we settled on the perfect itinerary with the right price. Leading up to the trip, Wislay proactively reached out to help us prepare, from obtaining visas to assisting us in booking a local flight from the coast to Nairobi.
The proactive communication continued once we arrived in Kenya. Wisaly and Geoffrey had rides ready at the airport to take us to the hotel and met us personally to send us off on our safari the next day. They checked in throughout our trip to ensure all was well, and scrambled to make last-minute accommodations in Nairobi for us when our flight home was delayed by 11 hours. We never had to worry about any changes, knowing Wislay was already one step ahead to help us navigate through.
Every aspect of our 9-day safari was amazing, as well. Our driver, Lee, was a knowledgeable guide, easy-going company, and an all-around great guy. He was as expert in navigating the roads as he was in telling us about the animals and the parks. He gently kept us on schedule and was adept at reading our energy, knowing when to linger as we marveled over the sights and when to move us along to discover new ones. We couldn't have asked for a better guide!
In all, we hit Maasai Mara (lions! buffalo! hippos! cheetahs!), Lake Nakuru (rhinos!), Lake Naivasha (photographing eagles in flight and walking among giraffes!), Amboseli (elephants & Mount Kilimanjaro!), and Taita Hills (warthogs and hyenas!) finishing with a relaxing beach stay in Watamu. We saw new animals and sights at each stop and got a great sense of Kenya's diverse natural beauty. There's plenty to recommend each stop, though to me, Amboseli and Maasai Mara were the standouts.
Honestly, though, no matter what you choose to do, you can't go wrong with Family Leisure leading the way. They are detail-oriented in every aspect, from helping you choose the right itinerary, fitting it to your budget, and ensuring every aspect of your trip is well-organized and unforgettable. I can't recommend working with them highly enough! I hope we get to return to Kenya one day, and if we do, Geoffrey and Wislay will be our first call.

Responsive and personalized
This is intentionally a short review intended to address my primary concern before the trip - using a tour operator on the basis of online reviews. We put our $$ and our families in the hands of people we had never met based on the glowing review, but I still had some nagging doubt until we saw them standing in front of us at the airport. I could have easily address these concerns by requesting a video chat session, which they would have gladly done, and built that overseas trust earlier. If you have any similar concerns, I suggest you do this b/c Wislay and Geoffrey are fantastic.
They were so extraordinarily responsive before the trip that we were able to completely personalize the itinerary (you're not restricted to the standard packages!). The lodgings were great and our driver Lee was conscientious and took care of us the whole time. The itinerary included lovely surprises such as a boat ride to feed the eagles, a stroll through a sanctuary, and a visit to a Masai village. On the return, we had multiple flight delays and they took care of everything for us.
Recommend, recommend, recommend.

Family Leisure Africa Safari exceeded my highest expectations!
I have wanted to go on safari in Kenya for over a decade, and had gone so far as to gather itinerary ideas over the years. When we decided to finally plan the trip, we knew we needed some expert guidance who would take the scraps of ideas I had gathered (a few park names and a requirement to end at the coast) and turn it into the safari we had been dreaming of.
I contacted several safari companies who had itineraries that came close to what I wanted. Family Leisure Africa Safari was the first to reply. From the very beginning, Wislay and Geoffrey were a delight to work with. They were responsive, informative, and flexible. I asked a lot of questions and made a lot of adjustments to our trip as we planned and Wislay was always happy to rework the itinerary as we added more people to our group, changed how many rooms we wanted at each location, and tinkered with different decisions to land at a trip that included everything we wanted at a very fair price.
As we prepared for our trip, Wislay stayed in touch with information about how to obtain visas, updates as reservations were finalized, and assistance with booking a short flight on a local airline. Family Leisure Africa Safaris made sure we were ready and had support with all of the arrangements needed.
The trip itself was spectacular. Our driver, Lee, was experienced and capable. The very first day of the trip, Lee was in touch with other game guides and park personnel as we drove into Masai Mara, ensuring that he knew exactly where to take us to see the animals. The very first day, we saw multiple lions, which made a huge impression on the two teenage boys we had in our party!
The accommodations that had been arranged for us were beautiful throughout our trip, and the food was delicious. Lee continued to be a great guide, accommodating the many requests to stop for photos, answering all of our questions, and having an instinct for the energy of our group (including an uncanny ability to find a toilet within ten minutes if we asked for one).
What I did not expect was how much care Family Leisure Africa Safaris had put into our itinerary over and above what I had asked for. They arranged a boat tour on Lake Naivasha, a guided walk among zebras and giraffes on a protected island, and a visit to a Masai village. The rhythm of the trip was perfect- we were never rushed and had enough time at the lodges to relax, but we also packed in a lot of activities and SO MANY ANIMALS.
Throughout our trip, Wislay stayed in touch and made sure everything was meeting our expectations. On the final day, we learned that our flight from Nairobi back to the United States had been significantly delayed, resulting in the need for an unexpected overnight stay. I messaged Wislay and he handled everything without missing a beat, finding us a hotel and arranging for travel back and forth to/from the airport.
I highly recommend Family Leisure Africa Safaris for anyone considering a safari to Kenya, Tanzania, or Uganda.

Go for it!
If you want to see lots of wild life and learn about it, book a safari with this company. Kenneddy was my fantastic driver and guide. He knows everything and everybody! I totally enjoyed the rides, hotels, food, animals and views. I traveled solo to Kenya, and felt safe all the time. I visited Maasai Mara, Amboselli and Lake Nakuru. It was amazing!!

A caring team!
Had a relaxing two days to Masai Mara. Agency managed to accommodate timings despite later arrival, was caring and clearly communicating what’s next. Hotel was pleasant but beware of baboons! Managed to see many animals despite the weather worsened.

PHENOMENAL in EVERY WAY!!
I do not have a single thing to complain about with Geoffrey and his team!
Excellent communication - 12/10, Scheduling - 10/10, Quality of accommodations and activities - 10/10, Feeling of being safe - 10/10.
They were on top of everything, even as all our flights getting there were being delayed and changed, they stayed in touch, and when we landed, we were greeted at the airport immediately.
BEST guide ever, Simon was AMAZING! His knowledge, driving skills and confidence in what he was doing were all PERFECT! He even had good taste in music.
There are so many wonderful things I would like to say, I can barely put them all into words.
Unforgettable experience! Hands down BEST TEAM EVER!

Family Leisure was a very engaged, organized, and flexible group to work with.
Family Leisure was great to work with. They were very flexible and able to change plans when our travel plans were delayed or places were closed. They also let us work with them to customize our trip a bit so we could include all the things we wanted to see and visit. Their communication leading up to the tour and during were great and put us at ease. Our guides in Nairobi and during the safari tours were both excellent and very knowledgable. Our safari tour guide, in particular, was very friendly and an impressive driver, even through some crazy rough roads! They dealt with all the lodging and meal planning so it made things very easy for us and we could really sit back and relax on this trip. We will definitely book with them again for a future trip!

A Memorable Tour Led by a Veteran Guide
From the moment I started planning my trip to Africa, I was eagerly looking forward to visiting Kenya. During the planning phase, I compared numerous tours available online and found that Family Leisure Africa Safaris had an outstanding reputation. I reached out to them via email, and they responded to all my questions promptly and clearly, making it easy for me to book a private tour without any hesitation.
On the morning of the tour, not only did the veteran guide/driver who would be leading the tour come to pick me up at the hotel, but also the individuals I had been corresponding with via email from Family Leisure Africa Safaris came to see me off. They even presented me with a lovely gift.
The private tour I booked was a 2-day, 1-night adventure that included interactions with the Maasai people, multiple game drives in Masai Mara, lodging and meals at a lodge within Masai Mara National Reserve, and round-trip transportation in a Land Cruiser. While many tourists opt to fly from Nairobi to Masai Mara, I chose to travel by car, and it was the best decision I made. John, the veteran guide and driver, was truly exceptional. He drove with great professionalism, minimizing the vehicle's vibrations on the bumpy roads around Masai Mara and within the national park.
During the game drives, I was able to observe over ten lions, as well as cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, elephants, zebras, hyenas, monitor lizards, buffaloes, ostriches, hippos, and more, all in their natural habitat and up close. To safely observe so many animals in the vast safari, an experienced veteran guide is essential, and John was exactly that.
I highly recommend Family Leisure Africa Safaris not only to Japanese travelers but to people from all over the world. Thank you very much for an unforgettable experience.
