Ukhozi Tours delivered an exceptional, personalized safari with expert guiding and photography coach
David put together a fantastic itinerary and handled all the planning for our amazing week in Kruger National Park and surrounding areas. He communicated frequently with us from the start and guided our selections to perfectly match our wish list. His guidance was exceptional and went above and beyond anything we could have expected, he offered advice on everything from packing, to safety, to other things to do while in South Africa. David handled all the logistics including vehicle rental, route planning, airport pickup, selecting and arranging lodgings, and provisions for our family of four (2 adults + 2 teens) including one with a severe food allergy. He even personally prepared two fantastic meals for us on the braai!
During the safari he was an extremely informative guide who knew the area and the animals exceptionally well, he kept every drive entertaining with information about various plants, birds and other animals, and national history. We saw all of the Big 5 animals, plus so many more; we even had 2 leopard sightings within an hour of each other!
As a professional photographer he was able to provide excellent guidance and mentoring to a complete beginner. He set up amazing shots and offered advice as well as feedback that were instrumental for building confidence and capturing magical moments.
Ukhozi Tours planned and executed an altogether exceptional and uniquely tailored experience that was more than we could have hoped for and we can’t wait to go again. Beware the bite of the Safari Bug!

Accomodating
We had high hopes for our first, and maybe only, safari and Ukhozi exceeded them all. David goes out of his way to make it a memorable and exciting experience for all. He speaks several languages which really helps in getting around. We all agreed that the price of the trip was very reasonable considering the value. We did see the "big 5" in abundance and highly recommend this company to anyone wanting to do the same in presence of a pleasant and informative tour guide

Amazing Experience with David
Our 6-day safari adventure in Kruger National Park was truly unforgettable, and much of that was thanks to our exceptional guide, David.
From the very first email, David was warm, friendly, responsive, and incredibly helpful. A once-in-a-lifetime experience!
I went on a week-long trip with David to South Africa's biggest national game reserve , the Kruger National Park. The trip was fantastic. David is an outstanding guide and his passion for wildlife is evident in his eagerness to share his prodigious knowledge with visitors. He was very attentive in all aspects of the trip and bent over backwards to make the experience as memorable as possible in every way. Amazing Ndebele Cultural Experience
We were referred to David by a fellow traveler, and we contacted him immediately. Communication was easy and informative, so we booked a day trip to visit the Ndebele. David was prompt, and extremely knowledgeable about the art and all other aspects of this special community. We had the pleasure of spending time, and speaking with several artists in their homes, and purchased gorgeous artwork and beadwork.
David opened doors to us that would most certainly have been closed otherwise. He is an active and caring advocate for the Ndebele, and provides an authentic cultural exchange for tourists who seek to avoid hokey tourist traps. Thank you David for such a wonderful and educational experience!

Highly professional and extremely accommodating
Michael and I found david to be an excellent tour guide.
His knowledge of the different wildlife and birds was exceptional. His general demanour was pleasent and he was very accommodating on any request we had.

Excellent birding safari
We had a wonderful day just before our flight with David. We wennt to Marieval and to the National Gardens. David is great company and he knows the bird species excellently. He even provided coffee, tea and breakfast. Even if you are not a birder David also knows nice places to relax in nature before your flight. I can highly recommend him
Amazing in depth knowledge
We did a tour of Soweto with David. His knowledge of South Africa and it's history is what makes this tour so interesting.
David was a great guide, who gave us so much information, would highly recommend.

Great personalized tour
David was a fabulous tour guide. He was very thorough in figuring out what we wanted our vacation to be, and delivered exactly what we asked. His knowledge of South Africa's history was fascinating. Highly recommend if you'd like someone who can cater to your specific needs rather than being trapped with a big tour group.

A fun and engaging operator
My wife & I recently went on an 7 day, 6 night trip to Kruger and surrounds with David from Ukhozi Tours. We drove the panoramic route, stayed 3 nights in different camps in Kruger and had 2 nights in the Timbavati private reserve. It was a fantastic trip, well organised with a mix of scenery, safari and valuable photographic tips from David who is a professional photography and film maker. David has a great sense of humour and our trip was full of fun and laughs and marvellous game viewing. I felt the mix between the public camps in Kruger and the private reserve was just superb. I'd highly recommend David and Ukhozi Tours for your safari/photography trip.
