Our guide was fantastic — super knowledgeable, easygoing, and clearly respected by the communities.
Just got back from a 4-day tour with Ethio Wildlife and it honestly blew me away. We visited several different tribes in Omo valley and each day was completely unique and eye-opening. The whole trip felt very genuine and respectful, not staged or touristy at all.
Accommodations were simple but clean and comfortable, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. If you’re looking for something meaningful and way off the beaten path, I’d 100% recommend this experience. I came back with a full heart and a totally new perspective.

Organized and responsive
I contacted several tour operators in May 2025 hoping to join a group tour of the Simien mountains but since it is a slow tourist season there were none available. Ethio Wildlife were able to organize a private tour for me at a reasonable cost. They handled everything. The guide/driver/chef/scout were incredibly nice people and it was a pleasure to spend 3 days with them in the park. The guide in particular was very knowledgeable and accommodating.

last October 2024, I had the pleasure of a 13-days adventure with Ethio Wildlife Tours, I highly rec
My journey included 3 days in the stunning Simien Mountains, followed by another 3 days exploring the incredible Danakil Depression and 5 Days Omo Valley Tribes, along with a fantastic city tour of Addisabeba
The Simien Mountains are nothing short of spectacular. The views are awe-inspiring, with rugged peaks and deep valleys that seem to stretch on forever. Ethio Wildlife Tours arranged expert local guides who were not only knowledgeable about the area but also passionate about the wildlife and culture of the region. We encountered unique species such as the Gelada baboon and the Walia ibex, making our hikes truly unforgettable ,The chefs are very friendly and served us really delicious food ,I rate them 4 star.they very welcome and friendly.
The five days in the Omo Valley were another remarkable stay . We had the chance to visit various tribes, each with its own rich culture and traditions. Ethio Wildlife Tours ensured that our interactions were respectful and insightful, allowing us to appreciate the diversity of the local communities. The vibrant markets and traditional ceremonies we witnessed were highlights of our trip.
Our trip began and ended in Addis Ababa, where we enjoyed a city tour that shaws us the city’s history and culture. From the National Museum, home to Lucy, to the bustling Merkato market, we experienced the heart of Ethiopia. The guides were friendly and accommodating, making sure we had a comprehensive understanding of the city’s significance.
Overall, my experiences with Ethio Wildlife Tours excelled in every aspect of our journey. The accommodations were comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff was incredibly professional and attentive. They took care of all the details, allowing us to focus on enjoying our adventure.
