We arranged our trip with Firefinch Safaris and found their services to be highly professional.
We booked our 15 day Victoria Falls and Namibia safari with Firefinch Safaris and found the experience exceptionally well organised from start to finish. From initial planning to our return home, every detail was handled professionally by Michelle, giving us complete confidence throughout the journey.
Beginning at Victoria Falls, we enjoyed a helicopter flight, guided walks, and a sunset cruise on the Zambezi before travelling through Botswana and Namibia. Highlights included boat safaris on the Chobe River, game drives in Chobe National Park and Etosha, and stays at a range of superb lodges set in spectacular locations along the Okavango River and across Namibia’s wilderness.
Once we began the self drive portion of the safari, Firefinch’s comprehensive documentation proved invaluable, providing clear directions, accommodation details, and practical guidance for each stage of the journey. Despite travelling independently through remote regions, everything ran seamlessly.
The accommodation was consistently of a high standard, wildlife sightings were outstanding, and the warmth and hospitality of the Namibian people left a lasting impression. This safari represented excellent value for money, and we would not hesitate to recommend Firefinch Safaris to anyone seeking a professionally planned African adventure.

My trip to Namibia was an unforgettable experience. From the vast dunes of Sossusvlei to the incredible Swakopmund, every day felt unique. We had a great time. The guide was knowledgeable, helpful and generous with his information.
We had a great time on safari with the private guide arranged by Firefinch. Firefinch was professional, made everything easy and was flexible when I messed up my flights. We enjoyed the experience so much. It was important for us to use a local operator that booked with local guides and vendors in Namibia. We also appreciated that in a less busy season, we were able to see so many animals and have an authentic time in Namibia.

Outstanding Namibia Self-Drive with Brilliant Guide Support from Firefinch!
We booked an 11-day/10-night self-drive camping trip across Namibia with Firefinch Safaris & Car Hire and it exceeded every expectation.
From the moment we landed, everything was seamless: we were collected at the airport and taken to Bluu Car Hire where the team handed over our fully equipped Toyota Hilux 4x4 – rooftop tents, fridge, complete camping kit – all spotless and perfectly prepared. When the fridge stopped working at Spitzkoppe, the team drove out the same day to fix it on the spot. That level of service is unheard of – absolutely amazing!
At Urban Camp we were met by the wonderful Gesa, who gave us a thorough briefing, fantastic driving tips, hidden-gem recommendations and made us feel completely looked after from day one. She stayed in touch every single day via WhatsApp – quick replies, extra suggestions, and genuine care that made the whole trip stress-free. Thank you, Gesa – you’re a total star!
The itinerary was flawless:
Urban Camp (Windhoek) → Otjiwa Eagle’s Rest → Onguma Tamboti (loved the pool after Etosha game drives!) → Okaukuejo → Spitzkoppe (magical – a grown-up playground among the boulders, wish we’d stayed longer) → Alte Brücke Swakopmund → Sossus Oasis (perfect base for early dune climbs) → Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch (red dunes, cheetah sightings, horses wandering through camp and the best dinner of the trip!).
Every campsite was excellent, bookings were perfect, and the route flowed beautifully.
Firefinch’s flexibility, top-quality vehicle, brilliant accommodation choices and – above all – Clive and Gesa’s outstanding guidance and constant care made this the smoothest, most enjoyable self-drive we’ve ever done. Huge value for money and genuinely personal service. We can’t thank Clive, Gesa and the whole Firefinch team enough. If you want a stress-free Namibia adventure with expert backup whenever you need it, book with them. You’ll love every second!

Firefinch Safaris organized our dream holiday!
We contacted Firefinch Safaris only a few weeks before we intended to travel to Namibia. In only a short amount of times they organized a fantastic trip for us.
We had contact with Michelle and she was suberb! She answered quickly, new the best places to stay and tailored the trip after our wishes. She met us when we arrived and gave us all the information we needed to know. Michelle was also available during the whole trip and booked us additional activities and answered any questions we might have had.

We used Firefinch for our 12-day self drive through Namibia and couldnt be more satisfied. Michelle at Firefinch answered my emails instantly and provided with me amazing service. Firefinch booked excellent hotels and lodges along our drive and provided us with a create rental car with a reliable company.
Once you have booked everything you recieve access to an app that has your schedule with lodge coordinations, check-in times, meals and activities. I could book any activity I wanted through Firefinch and it worked like clockwork once we arrived at each hotel.
Firefinch and Michelle made us feel secure in our booking and payments etc where reliable and without issues.

The perfectly balanced tour of Namibia, well-thought and tailor made to our needs!
Michelle at Firefinch Safaris designed the perfect 16 days tour of Namibia for our 10th anniversary. We were late comers, setting up our vacation in August 2025, just 10 days before the departure date. Nonetheless, Michelle was able to draft and book a perfectly balanced tour of the wonders of Namibia for the two of us.
Armed with a powerful and all-capable Toyota Hi-Lux 4x4 pick-up, complete with rooftop-tent and camping gear, we spent wonderful nights camping in the wilderness of Spitzkoppe or delighting ourselves in Gondwana Collection lodge in Aus.
Her experience allowed us to participate in night game drives in Etosha, while staying at the Namutomi lodge or depart early in the morning to enjoy sunrise in Soussvlei, having camped inside the park.
I cannot recommend more heartily to visit Namibia, and contact Firefinch Safaris in doing so. Big thanks to Africa-on-wheels for providing the best pick-up!

Second to none your best safari operator in Namibia
We were very satisfied during the preparation of the tour as the person in charge of Firefinch Safaris,Michelle Kahikopo, was both very professional and accommodating to our suggestions.From the 5 day safari at Etosha we went to 9 days including Waterberg Park and Windhoek.To our full satisfaction the operation was even better.Car worked perfectly both in roads and in gravel paths within Etosha.The guide/driver,Gedeon Shapaka was guiding and driving well and what it was the reason why we were there finding a lot of fauna in different locations.Elephants,Jiraffes,cebras,he put us in front of but we saw leopard,hyenas,rhinos and lions as well.Finally we must say that the lodges and communication facilities were better than we had expected due to the lonelines and far distances of their locations.Our experience with Firefinch Safaris was over the rainbow.Try them if you may.
