Excellent
Value for money with this operator. We went on a safari with Christoph, who has been guiding for 19 years and is incredibly experienced. He seemed to know every corner of the Masai Mara, which made the whole experience even more impressive. His knowledge and confidence made us feel in great hands, and we got to see so much thanks to his expertise. Truly an unforgettable safari experience.

Great safari experience
This is 4,5 stars. My safari tour through Savanna Sojourns was really good! Communication and service was excellent and our driver (Chris) was brilliant. Our allocated hotel was also good with so friendly staff and fine tents. The only thing holding this trip back from a 5 star is the food at the hotel which was OK. Also, make sure to eat or bring breakfast for the first day heading to Mara and be aware that the last 2 hours of the drive there is very bumpy. We would go again.

An excellent safari with great access to the big 5. Our driver was not rushed, ensured everyone was looked after whilst providing great information about the animals, local customs and history of Kenya.

Accommodating
George and team were terrific to work with. The highly rated reviews were completely accurate as I reached out to them about a custom tour for my wife and I in the Mara and Lake Nakuru. George was in constant communication with me and was always there to answer questions and made sure to build the right itinerary for us. Our guide Ronnie was great as well. He let us dictate our tour and made sure we targeted seeing what were considered highlights. Unfortunately we missed the Great Migration but that was just due to timing elements. Otherwise, we’ll definitely look to book with George and team in the future. Highly recommend for your private tour experience.

Amazing trip to Masai Mara
We spent an amazing few days in the Keekrok Lodge in Masai Mara. Departing from Nairobi and driven to the lodge. Everything was perfect - pick up was on time, great trip to the lodge, great lodge with an amazing 300 hippos and most friendly staff at the lodge, great game where we came really close to the animals and saw most of them, and not least was our driver George nice and knowlegdeable regarding animals and Kenya. Great recommendations from here

Greatest guide!
We had an amazing three days thanks to Savanna Sojourns and our guide George!
Even though we kept changing our plans on the third day and probably made things a bit tricky, the staff handled everything with such patience and kindness.
George was the perfect guide — he gave us all the info we needed about the animals, but never talked too much or interrupted our own conversations. He kept just the right balance, which made the trip super comfortable.
And of course, when it came to the animals, George really delivered! Using both his own instincts and tips from fellow guides, he made sure we saw everything we were hoping for. We got to spot all the animals on our list, and he answered every question we had. Honestly, it couldn’t have been a better three days.
If you’re on the fence, I can’t recommend Savanna Sojourns and George enough!

He was reliable, well-coordinated, and clearly experienced.
We did a 3-day, 2-night Maasai Mara safari with this tour operator and had an amazing experience. Our guide, George, was excellent from the very start. He was patient, very knowledgeable, and great at spotting wildlife while also explaining what we were seeing in a clear and interesting way. Because of him, we had close encounters with all of the Big Five, with lions being a major highlight.
The trip was well organized with an on-time pick-up and a very comfortable, clean vehicle, which made the journey easy. We stayed at a mid-range camp that was comfortable and well set up, perfect after long and exciting days in the park. The overall experience felt adventurous and exciting, and everything ran smoothly throughout. The tour operator was very accommodating and would suit any type of traveler. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone visiting the Maasai Mara.
