To say that Stephen has a passion for Africa and its wildlife, not to mention an unquenchable thirst for off-the-beaten-track travel to experience the continent's most out-of-the-way national parks and safari hotspots, would be the proverbial understatement of the year. Having explored and photographed over 25 countries on the continent to date, there is no disputing that Steve is a seasoned African explorer and safari stalwart. He is, however, also an avid conservationist with an Honours degree in Environmental Economics and a Masters in Wildlife Management.
As an international photojournalist specialising in wildlife conservation, adventure sports and travel, Stephen Cunliffe's stories and images have been widely published with his work regularly appearing in a wide range of magazines and newspapers from around the globe. While he is a frequent contributor to prestigious conservation and safari-orientated publications such as the Royal Geographical Society's Geographical magazine, Africa Geographic, Travel Africa, Travel Namibia and Travel Zambia, his work has also featured in some 30 prominent travel, airline, diving and 4x4 magazines and newspapers.
Born and raised in South Africa, and having lived and worked in Zambia and Uganda, Steve is now based with his wife Katherine and two sons in the iconic Serengeti where he gets to spend pretty much everyday exploring the wilds of Africa.
