Worth Every Penny!
5/5

Kwanza Safaris has been an incredible tour operator, from start to finish, so I will highlight some of their strengths below!

- Tour Consultancy: We were consulted by Tess Munyua from the very beginning, and what a help she was!! She really listened, took our wishes/ideas into consideration, and basically crafted the package to what we liked. Tess was additionally lovely by telling everyone we were on our honeymoon and getting us some extra perks (such as a room upgrade)! She helped us with every question we had along the way, such as what binoculars to buy, what to pack, how much money to bring, etc. She was a HUGE help!

- Hotels: We stayed at FIG TREE CAMP for two nights and LAKE NAIVASHA SOPA RESORT for one. Again, Tess was so helpful with explaining whether camps were inside the national park or outside, communicating with the chefs in advance our dietary needs (vegan), and checked in with us during our stay to check everything was okay. I want to thank the resorts for being wonderfully attentive: all the staff was so welcoming, with drinks and hot towels to wash our hands with after long drives. Both resorts took our dietary needs into account and made sure we had plenty to eat. Both were amazing - FIG TREE CAMP was wild, in the Maasai Mara, and we stayed in tented accommodation facing the river and looking at hippos and crocodiles. LAKE NAIVASHA SOPA RESORT was stunning, with beautify grounds full of zebra, giraffes, and live music and amazing food in the evening.

Last but not least…

- Safari Guide: Frank, we love you! We could not have had a better, funnier, more knowledgeable guide than Frank. Your safari guide is also your driver, and we always felt safe with Frank, even when navigating all the potholes on the road or during the many animal crossings. When it came to the safari days, Frank was just as excited for us as we were, and ensured we got to see as many animals as possible. He knew every animal, including birds, and was so knowledgeable, answering all our questions but also offering information, as he knew we were animal lovers and enthusiastic about the safari. He’s such a cool guy and I can’t wait to come back - I’ll be requesting him!

OVERALL:
- Communication with Kwanza Safari & Tess was amazing from the beginning.
- 100% value for money - you won’t regret it!
- Activities recommended: Maasai Village - do try it!! It’s a great experienced on top of your safari package.

I had a great time on an one night stay. Went on two game drives and saw dozens of elephants along with many other animals. The company was flexible with timing and activities, and was very communicative.

An unforgettable Masai Mara experience - Exceptional guide and Outstanding hospitality
5/5

Our Masai mara experience was nothing short of extraordinary and was made truly special by our driver/tour guide -one Mr. Francis and the hotel where we stayed - Mara leisure camp

Francis was incredibly knowledgeable on the Masai mara eco system, wildlife and culture. We not only got to see all the big five but also lefts with fun facts on every animal we saw in the mara. Francis is also a bona fide bird watcher, and we gathered lots of information on the various species of birds around

Beyond his expertise, Francis was patient, Professional, friendly He made us feel comfortable and safe and cracked jokes with us through the entire time. He developed a good rapport with our 2 teenage and preteen sons

The hotel was equally impressive and exceeded our expectation. The location was perfect with a scenic view by the Talek river. The staff were warm, welcoming and attentive and there was calm, authentic atmosphere.

Together, the exceptional guide and wonderful hospitality made this trip truly unforgettable, and my family and I would recommend the guide and Mara leisure camp to anyone planning a Masai Mara visit.

The Perfect Safari with Collins: More Than a Guide, a Friend
5/5

Our 11-day safari across Kenya was the trip of a lifetime, and the biggest reason it was so special was our amazing driver and guide, Collins (Collong). From start to finish, he went above and beyond — always organized, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. He shared fascinating details about every park, animal, and local tradition, making each moment richer and more meaningful.

Collins was always on top of everything: timing, routes, park entries, and every detail in between. His communication was excellent, and we felt completely safe and cared for throughout the journey. He wasn’t just a guide — he quickly became a true friend to us.

His Toyota Hiace 4x4 turned out to be an unexpected highlight! It was more comfortable than the Land Cruisers we saw around, with reclining seats and enough space to stretch out and even nap in the last row during long drives. The lower open roof made it much easier to stand up and take photos, especially during animal sightings — a photographer’s dream.

In the Masái Mara, Collins worked closely with a local Mara spotter, and together they helped us track down the Big Five — an unforgettable experience! Their teamwork and instinct for finding wildlife were truly impressive.

What really made the experience special was how personable and friendly Collins is. His communication was excellent, and he always made sure we were comfortable and informed. He anticipated our needs before we even asked — truly on top of everything. By the end of the journey, he felt less like a guide and more like a friend traveling with us.
