Steve and Landmark Expeditions showed us great hospitality and adventure in the most beautiful place
From the first morning of the safari, we greeted with such welcome and care! Steve from Landmark Expeditions showed us the most amazing places and we could all appreciated his great extent of knowledge and love for Safari! By the end of the trip I was incredibly sad to leave my seat in the Safari vehicle for the last time. Our Landmark Expedition itinerary included several different lodges and camps that I loved each time. One included an amazing view of Mount Kilimanjaro, one awed me with a family of elephants outside our window, and all were above and beyond hospitable with delicious meals without fail!! Everyday we saw an animal doing something new, a new landscape and learned so much. Huge thank you to Steve and Landmark Expeditions for an incredible adventure!!!

Professional
Francis and Benson were both very professional in meeting our needs as we toured the Maasai Mara. They made sure that we were at the right spot at the right time to see the wildlife without interfering with their environment, They were a pleasure to speak to as they possess a great wealth of knowledge about the history and the evolvement of the area. This is a reflection of the entire Landmark expedition family and I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Kenya.

Amazing Personalized Kenya Safari experience!
We had constraints on dates we could travel, and we knew June would be early for the Migration, so I was taming my expectations. The tour with Steve from Landmark Expeditions delivered everything, over and above! Steve worked hard to navigate the bush to ensure we saw all the animals. Lions? Two dozen! Cheetahs? Absolutely! Leopards? Check! Elephants, hippos, hyenas, wildebeast, zebra, antelope, giraffes, rhinos, baboons, monkeys, and even the special animals only in Samburu like the Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffes, Somali ostriches, oryx, and gerenuk!
Steve knows how to create a scene, positioning his safari truck in just the right place to make your photos take most advantage of the lighting.
Our accomodations over the 10 days varied between resort hotel rooms and "glamping" tents, all of which were very comfortable, safe, clean and had individual showers and bathrooms. Food was excellent everywhere with many options, good for the whole family.
Overall, this was an amazing experience I can highly recommend to anyone looking for a great visit to Kenya!

Amazing, Unforgettable Experience!
Our safari with Landmark Expeditions was absolutely incredible! We traveled to 6 different parks and Landmark Expeditions made our trip comfortable and easy. Steve was our guide and he had great knowledge about the areas, animals, and so much more! He made sure that we saw everything we wanted to see and beyond. He also made sure we knew when to meet and what to expect each day which was amazing. We also had the perfect balance of exploration and time to rest and relax. Superb!
If you’re going on safari, Landmark Expeditions is the best way to ensure an enriching yet comfortable journey. They’re a family-owned business that care about their clients and their knowledge and expertise is superb. In ten days we traveled to six different parks in ease and comfort and saw amazing sights that only seasoned guides can provide. Our sightings were not mere glimpses, but observations with full explanations of what the animals were doing and what life in the savanna was like—extraordinary. Steve always maneuvered the truck so that we had the best camera angles. Wherever we went, people knew Steve—and were happy to see him. Our accommodations were top notch with continued opportunities to observe wildlife. The food was savory and satisfying with multiple options. Every detail of the trip was carefully planned for a superb experience. All this has a reasonable price tag for all that we encountered. Spectacular!

Flawless Safari, Unmatched Guide, Beautiful Memories
Our safari experience exceeded every expectation. From start to finish, my trip with my 12 year old son was seamless, organized, and unforgettable.
Steve, our guide, made the experience very interesting. His knowledge of the land, wildlife, th food, and local culture added so much to every drive and every place we stopped. He had a good instinct for tracking the animals, we saw everything on our list and more! Steve always made sure we were in the right place at the right time, without feeling rushed or crowded by other cars. And he said yes to nearly every random request we came up with!
Steve’s professionalism definitely stood out - he had a warm, easygoing personality. He created an environment that felt safe and relaxed, which allowed us to really enjoy each day. Sometimes we left early for morning game drives, other days we visited local areas; we always were taking in the scenery and asking questions. He was very patient with my 12 year old son, which made the trip enjoyable for me too.
The itinerary itself was balanced, it included adventure with time to unwind. I added some last minute requests and they were happy to adjust things for me. Every lodge, camp and location had something unique, and the whole trip felt really well planned.
I would absolutely recommend this company—and especially this guide—to anyone considering a safari. It was not just a summer vacation, it was a memorable and meaningful experience that i got to share with my son. I know he will remember the trip forever.

Steve is the best, very knowledgeable about the parks and the animals.
The tour was great. We explained what we were interested in and they developed an itinerary that hit all the buttons. The accommodations were very nice. Don't let the word tent scare you off. The food was also very good and was made with the tourist trade in mind. We did a morning and an evening game ride each day. We saw the Big Five on the first day. Tried to keep a journal of every animal we saw but there were too many after a while. You get very close to the animals as they tend to ignore the vehicles. One elephant was a little upset when a van got too close, but he just flared his ears and snorted until the van backed off. Saw several lions lounging by the side of the road and they didn't give the van a second thought. All-in-all this was a great trip. The value for the money is excellent compared to some on-line research I did before booking the trip. Don't hesitate to reach out to Landmark Expeditions.

Another incredible safari with Landmark Expeditions
After my first safari with Landmark Expeditions, I knew I wanted to return—and in February 2024, I did, this time bringing a friend who had never experienced a safari before.
Our guide on this trip was Francis, and he was also outstanding. He is friendly, experienced, and clearly passionate about what he does. From the very beginning, everything ran smoothly and was exceptionally well organized, which made the entire experience relaxing and enjoyable.
We had an incredible number of wildlife sightings throughout the trip— hard to choose a single highlight. What really stood out was how consistently Francis positioned us to take advantage of the best opportunities each day.
As a birder, I again appreciated the thoughtful planning of the itinerary. Francis made a real effort to ensure I was able to see and photograph a wide variety of bird species, which added so much to my experience.
Once again, the safari was very reasonably priced while delivering a high-quality experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Landmark Expeditions to anyone, whether it’s your first safari or a return trip—I am looking forward to my third safari with Landmark Expeditions. I have booked a trip in July 2026 and will bring my 17-year-old grandson with me this time!
