Mike was amazing. Full of facts, understanding, patience, compassion and always had our safety and best in mind. I have experienced another guide and can say the Mike is absolutely one of the best. I would without a doubt recommend him for the best experience ever. There is no comparison!

From the very beginning, it was clear how knowledgeable and experienced he was. He answered every question we had, whether it was about the animals and wildlife, different cultures and customs, or anything else we were curious about. With his years of experience, it seemed like he always had an answer—and he was always happy to share his knowledge.
Beyond that, Mike was incredibly professional, reliable, punctual, kind, genuine, and funny. He constantly checked in with us to make sure we were happy and comfortable and would always ask if there was anything we wanted to do differently. He was so flexible and genuinely wanted us to have the best possible experience. We felt completely comfortable, happy, and safe with him throughout the entire trip.
Mike is also an amazing photographer! He knew exactly how to set up the best photos and was always patient about getting the perfect shot. What really stood out to us, though, was how much genuine passion and respect he has for the wildlife. He cared deeply about the animals we were seeing and was equally respectful of the other safari vehicles and guides around us. You could truly tell that this is more than just a job for him.
Mike set the standard incredibly high. He made every game drive exciting, educational, comfortable, and fun. We are all going to miss him so much!

Exceptional guide: experienced, knowledgeable, reliable, and incredible at spotting wildlife.
We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with Zawame Travel, and especially about our incredible guide in the Maasai Mara. He was truly one of the highlights of our entire safari, and we feel so lucky to have had him guiding us.
From the very beginning, it was obvious just how experienced he was. He seemed to have an instinct for exactly where to go and when to go there, and he was exceptionally skilled at spotting wildlife—often noticing animals that we never would have seen on our own. Thanks to him, we had so many extraordinary sightings and experiences in the Mara.
What impressed us just as much was how expertly he navigated the landscape. He knew the roads, terrain, and wildlife areas incredibly well and could maneuver the vehicle into excellent positions for viewing and photography while always making us feel safe. He was a terrific driver and was consistently punctual, reliable, and professional.
His knowledge of the Maasai Mara was remarkable. He taught us so much about the animals, their behavior, the ecosystem, the landscape, and the region throughout our time together. We could ask him seemingly anything about what we were seeing, and he always had an informative answer.
We also loved how well connected he was with the other guides throughout the Mara. Everywhere we went, he seemed to know people, communicate with other guides, and stay aware of what was happening across the reserve. You could really see the value of his years of experience and the relationships he had built.
Most importantly, we genuinely enjoyed spending our days with him. His expertise, professionalism, enthusiasm, and dedication elevated the entire experience. After continuing our safari elsewhere in East Africa, we appreciated even more just how exceptional he had been. The quality of a guide can completely transform a safari, and ours in the Maasai Mara set an incredibly high standard.
We are deeply grateful to Zawame Travel for giving our family such a memorable experience. Excellent, accommodating, and always made us feel safe and well taken care of.
We had an amazing experience with our guide throughout the safari. From the beginning, he was very friendly and easy to connect with, and we quickly developed a great rapport.
He was always punctual and flexible with our schedule. We agreed on timings that worked for everyone, and he consistently made sure everything went according to plan. Most importantly, he always prioritized our safety and made sure we were comfortable and not bothered by unnecessary situations. Whenever something wasn’t right, he was also proactive in speaking up and raising concerns on our behalf.
His knowledge of the safari was excellent. He shared so much information about the places we visited, the animals we encountered, and plenty of interesting facts along the way, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
One thing we especially appreciated was how much effort he put into making sure we got the best photos and videos. He was genuinely passionate about capturing the experience, which matched us perfectly since we also love taking photos and videos!
Overall, he was professional, knowledgeable, accommodating, and genuinely passionate about what he does. More than just being our guide, he made the entire safari feel comfortable, safe, fun, and memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide for our Kenya adventure!

My 1st safari trip did not disappoint!
Finally went on my dream safari trip with friends and it went smoothly as a butter! All thanks to The Mara Wanderlust and our tour guide - Michael. He made sure we saw as much animals, “the big five”, and the migration! He was also very protective of our safety, (which is the most important thing for tourists), was very accommodating, patient, and just the best! The itinerary was perfectly executed without any hiccups all thanks to him 😊 Will hope to come back in the future but will also definitely recommend to our friends. 1000/10!!

Michael is willing to do an extra mile —- from tourist traps and best experiences
Our 6-days trip with michael was memorable. He is always willing to adjust to give us the best experience. He also attend to our request specially on our priorities in terms of what animal we wanted to see to complete the big 5, great migration, preying, etc. He also gave us a lot of info along the way. He was one of the best tour guide i ever has. His english is also very clear so there’s no barrier. Super recommended!

Highly recommended for an unforgettable journey
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you, Michael, for an amazing Kenya experience.
We spent 8 days travelling around Kenya, including Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli and Michael was with us throughout the journey.
Michael has been absolutely wonderful from start to finish. He was always on time, patient, friendly and very accommodating with our requests. Even when we wanted to adjust certain plans along the way, he was always willing to help and made everything easy for us.
What we appreciated most was the way he genuinely looked after us throughout the trip. He made sure we were comfortable, checked that everything was okay and always had a positive attitude. After spending so many days together, it really felt less like having a guide and more like travelling with someone we could trust and rely on.
The long drives were also much more enjoyable because Michael was easy to talk to, calm and always in a good mood. He clearly cares about giving his guests a good experience, and that made a big difference to our trip.

Unforgettable 10-Day Safari Through Kenya with Zawame Travel
We travelled with Zawame Travel for 10 days through Kenya, visiting Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, Amboseli National Park, Lake Naivasha, the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Ol Pejeta Conservancy. It was an unforgettable safari and one of the best travel experiences we have ever had.
Mike took excellent care of us throughout the whole trip. He was very attentive, flexible and always tried to adapt the game drives to what we wanted to see and experience. We never felt rushed or like we were simply following a fixed programme. Instead, the safari felt very personal and tailored to us.
His knowledge of the parks, animals and wildlife behaviour made a huge difference, and he always put a lot of effort into finding the best sightings and making every game drive special. At the same time, everything was very well organised and we always felt safe and comfortable.
We saw an incredible variety of wildlife and landscapes during the 10 days, and the entire journey exceeded our expectations.

Amazing safari
We had a really good experience with our safari driver and guide in Kenya. He was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the animals and the national parks. He was also patient and did his best to make sure we had a chance to see and enjoy the wildlife. Overall, we felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the safari. We would definitely recommend him to others looking for a good safari experience.
