Oltre le aspettative
5/5

Where to begin?

I've been planning this trip for a long time. From the very first contact, Amos proved fully available to accommodate my every request, despite the busy schedule. He perfectly planned every activity requested, always ready to answer every question, building a relationship of trust from afar that reassured us until our long-awaited departure.

We met him at the airport with a warm smile, welcoming us at an unlikely hour, ready to transport us through a country full of rare gems.

Every activity was a wonderful discovery, more than I expected. Amos is a person who goes beyond simply being a guide. He has a passion for sharing his country and helping his community, and this shines through in his every action and behavior. This is what makes the trip so enriching, beyond the incomparable beauty of Uganda.

Despite the fact that the trip was very tiring, even for him, everything went perfectly; there wasn't even a hint of fatigue. Thank you so much for letting us try Rolex, the food of the Gods, so simple and delicious, and thank you for all those activities outside the agreed-upon itinerary that gave us a taste of the true Uganda.

I can only thank him infinitely and recommend him to everyone I can.

I'd also like to say a word for Mauro, the man who introduced me to Amos. Together, they support the charity A.I.C.O., which carries out many activities in Uganda, and together with other women and men, they help the community with countless projects. We were fortunate enough to visit some of these projects and were amazed by the dedication of all the workers. And I invite everyone to spend at least a little time experiencing firsthand the difficulties faced by the communities living in this wonderful country every day, which AICO is working so hard to alleviate. A huge thank you to Amos, Mauro, and everyone involved for this act of extreme solidarity.

Exceeded expectations! See you soon :)

You're top Elior, can you translate it into English for me? Thank you so much.

Absolutely ❤️ I'm translating it for you, trying to maintain your tone—warm, personal, and emotional—without making it sound like a literal translation from Italian. I've only fixed those small passages that would sound unnatural in English.

Where do I even begin?

I had been planning this trip for a very long time, and from our very first conversations, Amos proved to be incredibly helpful and willing to accommodate every single one of my requests. Despite the packed itinerary I had in mind, he managed to plan every activity perfectly. He was always ready to answer every question, building a relationship of trust with us from afar that made us feel completely at ease right up until our long-awaited departure.

We finally met him at the airport, where he welcomed us with a big smile at an almost impossible hour, ready to take us on a journey through a country filled with hidden gems.

Every activity turned out to be a wonderful discovery, even more than I had expected. Amos is so much more than simply a guide. He has a genuine desire to share his country with others and to help his community, and this shines through in everything he does. This is what makes the journey so rich in experiences, beyond the incomparable beauty of Uganda itself.

Even though the trip was very demanding — for him as well — everything went perfectly. Not once did he let his tiredness show. Thank you so much for introducing us to Rolex, food of the gods, so simple yet so delicious, and thank you for all those experiences outside our planned itinerary that allowed us to truly experience the real Uganda.

I can only thank him endlessly and recommend him to absolutely anyone I can.

I would also like to say a few words about Mauro, the person who introduced me to Amos. Together, they support A.I.C.O., a charitable organization that carries out many activities throughout Uganda and, alongside many other dedicated women and men, helps local communities through countless projects.

We were lucky enough to visit some of these projects ourselves, and we were deeply moved by the dedication of everyone involved. I would encourage anyone visiting this wonderful country to spend at least a little of their time seeing first-hand the challenges these communities face every single day, and the immense work A.I.C.O. is doing to help ease those difficulties.

A huge thank you

The Pearl of Africa with Pride Mark Safaris is amazing
5/5

I had this 13 days trip in August with my boy-friend and a couple of friends.
The country is beautiful and pride mark safari satisfied our expectation. Amos was always explaining us Uganda culture and the animals habits.
Furthermore is a really skilled driver, and believe me that in african bumpy roads it’s a big plus.
Finally the itinerary was suit on our own interests starting with savannah looking for the big 5 and then focusing on apes (chimp, gorilla and golden monkeys).

Once in a lifetime travel
5/5

We lived a once in a lifetime experience with Pride Mark Safari thanks to Amos and the 13 days tailor-made trip.
Our stages were Ziwa, Murchinson Falls NP, Queen Elizabeth, Kalinzu forest, Ishasha sector, Bwindi, Mgahinga Gorilla NP, Lake Bunyonyi, Lake Mburo NP and finally Entebbe.
We chose mid-range accomodations and I really loved Tabingi, Ishasha Pride and Eagle’s Nest lodges.
Amos leadership, animal and culture knowledge and driving capabilities were always perfect. He satisfied every desired we had during the travel planning, as consequence if you have any wish let him know everything in advance and he will take care of it.
One final consideration on gorilla trekking: before taking it I thought it would be amazing…but I assure you it’s way more fascinating than the expectation. Simply once in a lifetime experience.
I totally recommend Amos and Pride Mark Safari for your Uganda Travel.

beautiful experience with a good tour operator
5/5

For my first trip to Uganda, I turned to Amos from PrideMark Safari (a tour operator and local contact of the non-profit organization AICO - Il Caprifoglio).
Even though I organized everything in just two weeks before departure, Amos immediately provided me with a detailed itinerary and the relating cost, which included lodging, meals, park entrance fees, and various activities (boat tours, gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking, local experiences, and visits to the places where AICO has carried out its projects in Uganda), in addition to having Amos as my driver and guide for almost the entire trip.
First of all, I’ll start by saying that taking this trip alone is extremely expensive, so, whenever possible, I recommend traveling in a group and “filling up” the 8-seater van; but, once you’ve paid the required amount, the good thing is that you no longer have to worry about anything financially (or almost nothing, because in the end, even though it’s not mandatory, you’ll feel the pressure to tip everyone) .
What I didn’t like.
First, two of the accommodations chosen by Amos (in Jinja and Itambira) were terrible and not mid-range as I had paid for, even for someone as adaptable as me.
Second, on the second day, he tried to completely skip the afternoon itinerary in Jinja without informing me, simply taking me back to the guesthouse at 1:00 p.m. for lunch. When I realised I would have to be stuck in this place (outside the city centre) until the following morning without being able to do literally anything – contrary to what had been planned – I made my disappointment very clear, and he understood and made up for it by organising some activities for me.
Third, Amos is capable of driving for hours on end without ever stopping (and consequently without eating or taking a toilet break), so if you’ve planned a very early morning departure, make sure you organise yourself the night before to buy something to eat or at least always have some food with you and push him to stop for any needs.
All these things happened during the first few days of the trip, but once these points had been clarified with Amos (choosing more suitable accommodation, always sticking to the itinerary – barring unforeseen circumstances, of course – and not skipping meals or breaks), everything went smoothly.
I think some of the experiences are a bit too ‘touristy’ (dances and performances staged specifically for tourists - visit to the Batwa Pygmies, Banana Man and other), so I’d advise discussing this with Amos when you receive the itinerary if you’re not interested in this sort of thing, so you can skip them.
Now for the positives.
Amos was always kind, patient and helpful; he demonstrated experience, excellent knowledge of the area and driving skills; he has good contacts with local partners and he was always on hand to try and make things comfortable and easy for me, making me feel safe.
After the first few days of getting settled in, once I’d overcome the issues I mentioned earlier and we’ve got to know each other better, I found Amos to be a wonderful travel companion, not just a guide or a driver—always willing to understand my needs and make the experience not only interesting but also cheerful and fun, taking the right breaks to eat fresh fruit and groundnuts or drinking a cold beverage, taking funny pictures, laughing at the different ways we pronounce English and accommodating me whenever I wanted to stop and talk to the locals or play with the children (he also introduced me to his lovely and wise wife Connie and the youngest kid).
In short, I can say that a perfect synergy developed, which was the real added value of my trip to Uganda.
Would I recommend this tour operator? Absolutely YES — with Amos, you’ll feel right at home, and he’ll be your loving and attentive family for the entire duration of the trip.
Thank you, Amos and PrideMark Safaris!
I hope you'll remember me as a good guest—and not just for the longest review ever!

Amos is reliable, knowledgable, resourcefull and a kind and fun person
5/5

I was on several safaries with Amos over the last 12 years. I trust him explicitly that he organizes everything according to my wishes whenever I bring friends to Uganda. This last safary was with my family, for some of them first time to Africa. Amos was great at making them feel safe on the road. He can choose perfect accomodation according to budget and wishes and arrange deals you don’t get otherwise. He is also great at game drives probably because he loves viewing the animals just as much as we do. On more than 10 safaries with him I was never disappointed. Above all -Amos is an honest man, he delivers what he promises, always. And yes he is fun to be around. I have recommended Amos to many people and I will keep doing so.
