Good communication, good guides!
We started our safari in Arusha and ended in Nairobi, from where we took a nonstop flight to the Seychelles for our beach holiday. The communication with the Freeingo head office (Akai) was always fast responding and precise. After the first program for the safari was sent, we only needed to do small adjustments and got an updated response guickly. I did the full payment weeks ahead to the trip (via Wise) . The communication was excellent before, while and after the trip.
The trip is a long 8 day ride on the 4x4 Bushtaxi going thru several nationalparks, city's, countryside and a border crossing. We visited: Tarangire NP, Ngorongoro NP, Serengeti NP, Serengeti North NP, Massai Mara Reserve and Lake Nakuru NP. We seen a ton of animals very close: The density was the highest in the Ngorongoro crater. The first rhino we did see within the first 5 minutes and it walked by the jeep. A group of 4 rhinos 2 hours later. We did see cheetah with 4 kids, a black rhino (Lake Nakuru), a desert rabbit on daylight, leopard walking side by side with the car and climbing trees, 3 times Mara River crossing with good to excellent views, a lion eating a buffalo and much more.. The guides were superb. John Boma (Tanzania) was really good in estimating how the animal will move and positioning/moving the car very good for view and taking pictures. At the border crossing (Tanzania to Kenia) both guides did the handshake. We have not been a single moment unattended (safe for single female travelers). Do the visa application process online, it might take 1-2 weeks!
In Kenia the guide John Wachira had really good eyesight in finding the animals and overall professional guiding work done. In Kenia the safari is more private and less crowded by the jeeps. However you might see a little less animals per km driving, but the landscape is enjoying and nice. In both countrys the stops at the washrooms always were fine for my female partner. We asked for a Budget to Mid-range accommodations and used the budget for the private bushtaxi on the hole trip. I would do this again. We liked the Friends Camp (Northern Serengeti) the most. Nice view for stars and milkyway also, but you are not allowed to go outside after dark (ask for a guard at the dinner, to take pictures of the milkyway or the stars). The landscape of Tanzania was cleaner (less plastic and litter) but mostly dirt roads (free African-Massage), while in Kenia there is more litter and plastics in the landscape but from Lake Nakuru to Nairobi it was real road. Overall we were satisfied with value for money. Keep in mind these trucks a thirsty. On the fifth day after the border crossing the accommodation could have been better at this price tag, but the flair camp was okay for us. Sometimes things needed a moment to go on, but no breakdown. Do not underestimate the harsh conditions for the equipment and the people. Bring yourself some earplugs or noice canceling for longer rides on the dirt roads and a dust mask (ffp2) for dusty conditions on the safari.

Great route & great help!
We took an 11 day safari through Kenya and Tanzania and the highlights of our trip included our two wonderful guides— Chris and Omary.
Chris was our guide through Kenya and he was incredibly knowledgeable, very professional, and kind. He sufficiently navigated hiccups in the road and had a unique ability to make everything we saw feel special from a bird to a lion. He was able to pick up quickly on our interests and adapt accordingly taking sufficient time to let us see the animals we enjoyed most and knowing how to keep up pacing. Every morning he had a plan in mind and never made us feel rushed but also did not spend too much time idle.
Omary was our guide on the Tanzania side and he was also great. He was very educational, answering all our questions with an incredible depth of knowledge about all the animals, plants, and even rocks we saw. He also kept the party vibes bumping on long drives as we brought a speaker for the jeep and on the roads outside of the parks would be jamming to fun tunes together. He also was a great photographer for us!
Both guides ensured we saw incredible animals (rhinos, leopards, and even a lion kill!) and views and had amazing unforgettable experiences.
Asante sana to them both!
Additionally the accommodations were all wonderful. Akai did a great job helping us form our itinerary and customize it before and selecting our home away from homes for the trip. She helped us add on Amboseli NP to our route, and if you’re an elephant lover, it is well worth it. We loved working with her!

Excellent customer service that addresses every need, helping build a high-quality personalized trip
We wanted to book a safari tour through Freeingo Safaris. Throughout the entire process, we received quick, accurate, and personal responses to every single one of our needs. They worked to tailor the trip specifically for us and did everything in their power to help us find the exact trip we needed. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go on the trip due to various reasons unrelated to the company. Still, we wanted to recommend them for their exceptional service during the coordination and planning phase, and we hope to travel with them in the future.

Incredible 10-Day Kenya & Tanzania Safari!
We just returned from an unforgettable 10-day Kenya & Tanzania safari loop organized by Freeingo Safari. They carefully tailored the itinerary to fit our lower budget.
The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the wildebeest river crossing. Freeingo proactively moved us to a closer camp, and we spotted the crossing within just 30 minutes of setting off that morning. Without their arrangement, we would have almost certainly missed it.
An unexpected delight was the thoughtful arrangement from our Arusha hotel to the border — although we had already eaten dinner at the hotel and couldn't enjoy the local meal they planned, the comfortable business van pickup by Gilbert was a wonderful surprise and made the journey so smooth.
Our Kenyan guide, Ian, shared fascinating insights into Kenyan culture and wildlife, always punctual, and strict about wildlife protection rules.
In Tanzania, Milton was wonderful. He was very attentive to what animals we wanted to see and made sure we were comfortable throughout the trip. The Land Cruiser was comfortable with WiFi, wet wipes, cashew snacks, and drinks. He never shied away from long drives and helped us witness truly unforgettable wildlife scenes in the Serengeti.
We also want to highlight Freeingo's incredible crisis management. When our vehicle broke down in the Serengeti, the agency responded rapidly. They dispatched the spare part and worked through the night with Milton to fix it, ensuring our subsequent itinerary was completely unaffected.
As constructive feedback, we hope the vehicles configuration in Kenya could be brought up to the same standard as the one in Tanzania, and that the detailed scheduling in the itinerary could be more accurate and perfectly aligned with the actual arrangements.
It was an outstanding experience. From the Masai Mara to the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, and Amboseli, every day was extraordinary. We highly recommend Freeingo Safari to anyone planning an East African safari!

beautiful experience
The organization with Freeingo was excellent. We went on a three-day safari in Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara, and it was fantastic. Akai and Jhonson were very helpful with any requests or questions we had, as was our driver. Highly recommended for value for money!

Professional, attentive, and genuinely caring, with exceptional communication.
Choosing a company to organize a trip like this is a big decision, especially when you’re traveling halfway around the world on your own. As a solo female traveler, one of the things that mattered most to me was knowing that I was in good hands, and from the very beginning, Freeingo gave me that confidence.
From the planning stages through my final day in Tanzania, communication was excellent. Akai was incredibly responsive, helpful, and patient with every question and detail that came up. That communication continued throughout my trip, and if something needed to be adjusted or addressed, it was handled gracefully and efficiently.
The safari itself was truly unforgettable. Seeing the Big Five, experiencing the Great Migration, and witnessing a lion hunt and take down a wildebeest were just a few of the incredible moments I experienced. The wildlife, landscapes, and game drives through Tarangire, the Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater made this a trip I will never forget.
But the trip was so much more than a safari. From experiencing local culture and communities to hiking Kilimanjaro, exploring Zanzibar, and seeing the incredible natural beauty of Tanzania, every part of the journey felt thoughtfully planned and meaningful.
As a solo traveler, I felt safe, well cared for, and supported throughout the entire trip. That meant a lot to me and allowed me to fully immerse myself in the experience without worrying about the logistics.
I came home with incredible memories, thousands of photos, and an experience I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I am incredibly grateful that I chose Freeingo, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering a trip to Tanzania, especially solo travelers.
