Fantastic!!! It far exceeded our expectations
In short: fantastic!!! It far exceeded our expectations. We booked an all-inclusive safari with Helena from Mountain Warriors. We were picked up from our hotel in Zanzibar and safely dropped back off after the safari. Everything in between was truly amazing. Every detail was taken care of: plenty of food and drinks, and a wonderful place to stay. And then there was the driver—Obedinego Ernest Palgyo. This man truly made our trip special; he showed us the most beautiful spots and really pampered us. Plus, what a driver he is! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Are you planning to book a safari? 5/5 with a couple caveats..
The whole safari portion of our trip was wonderful. Our guide Joseph was amazing, and very accommodating. He would always figure out a way to help us get closer to the animals while staying respectful to the wildlife and other drivers. We got to know him very well during our 6 day safari and he was a delight to get to know. Taught us so much about the way of life in Africa as much as the wildlife. We accomplished seeing the Big 5.
Mountain Warriors company was also easy to book and navigate. Ruth was very responsive any time I would message her, no matter what time of day. The communication leading up to the trip could have been better though. I had to be the one to keep reaching out to follow up with our booking, and making sure everything was still good to go. I probably wouldn’t have heard from Mountain Warriors again after the deposit was paid, until we arrived into Africa. I also had to reach out to ask for an invoice a couple of times from our deposit, weeks after paying. It would have given us more peace of mind if the company had reached out leading up or prior to our trip to make sure all is well with our booking, and what to expect leading up to arrival. Other companies our friends were with seemed to require more prior to the trip to make sure you were set up with everything you needed. I was also easily able to switch out some accommodations that were initially offered. I did my own research for some more luxurious lodges and Ruth accommodated those requests with no problems.
I had also requested a specific guide we had read reviews about, and Ruth said it would be no problem at the time. At the beginning of our safari, we ended up having a different guide at arrival with no warning or explanation beforehand. No complaints about Joseph though. We loved him - but again, just the communication on behalf of the company. It was only then mentioned that specific guide was busy, after I had asked about it at the debriefing. I still wouldn’t have made a fuss if it was mentioned prior, but then it wouldn’t have been a surprise. It seems to be more of a “just pay and show up” kind of group. We only had our itinerary that was given to us as proposal when initially inquiring with the group to follow up with. The travel times on the itinerary were also a bit off, we drove a lot longer than what was scheduled, and we didn’t actually get a half game drive on our first day of the Serengeti because we stayed inside Tarangire National Park (which should have been accounted for since the company should know where it is) and because we needed to get the car checked to make sure it was equipped for the Serengeti roads, (which we agreed to the evening before) but should have been organized to do so prior to picking up clients in the first place. In addition to that, we also needed to pick up our luggage in the Serengeti airport. So we really only had 1.5 days in the Serengeti during our 6 day safari. I would have opted to stay longer in the Serengeti, and removed Lake Manyara. Another company had mentioned not even visiting that park at all.
I’ll still give 5 stars because everything still worked out for us, and my husband and I can go with the flow. Nothing detrimentally put a wrench in our experience. My husbands luggage didn’t arrive with us, and he didn’t have his luggage for the first 2 days of the safari, but Ruth quickly helped us get his bag to us faster and was delivered to us at the Serengeti air strip so we were thankful for that. Overall organization could’ve been better, but you get what you pay for! It would have been nice to have some more insight on where it was better to fly in and out of as well, so you could reduce driving time between parks. Still had a great trip.

Professional, responsive and memorable safari experience
We had a very enjoyable safari experience with Mountain Warriors Tours and Safaris. Our guide, John, was very friendly, enthusiastic and professional throughout the trip. Whenever we had any questions or small issues, he responded quickly and helped us solve them in a timely manner.
John was also very knowledgeable about the wildlife and the national parks. Thanks to his experience and effort, we were able to see many different animals and had some amazing wildlife encounters during our safari.
We were also generally very satisfied with the hotels and lodges arranged for us, and most of them were comfortable and well selected. Overall, the trip was well organized and we really appreciated John’s warm service and professionalism. We had a wonderful safari experience and would be happy to recommend Mountain Warriors to other travelers.

A truly unique and unforgettable experience
We chose to spend the first half of our honeymoon in Tanzania and it was everything we hoped for and more. Thank you Mountain Warriors for making this experience a reality, and special thanks to Evaline and Simon!

Evaline was our organizer. She’s the one that we talked to since the beginning and helped us switch hotels, arrange a flight from Arusha to Zanzibar, and even informed the lodges that we were on our honeymoon [we had a few beautiful surprises].
Without her this experience wouldn’t have been the same!
Simon was our Safari guide. He’s an exceptional driver, with more than 10 years of experience in the field. We’ve learned a lot from him about the Savanah, the local cultures, and Tanzania in general. His english is really good and he’s very easy to talk to.
We really enjoyed having him as our guide, and he really did everything in his power to offer us the best experience!

Very good with communication and organisation.
We did a 4 day 3 night safari tour with mountain warriors and would highly recommend. Our guide Michael was brilliant, on time every day, very informative and was very kind also. He also managed to get us some great sights of the animals.
Mountain warriors were very good with communication and arranged a special gift as it was me and my wife’s honeymoon which was greatly appreciated. Overall I would happily use them again!

Amazing
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Amazing Safari Experience with Mountain Warrior Safaris
We had an absolutely amazing safari experience with Mountain Warrior Safaris! Everything was very well organized from start to finish, and the whole trip was truly unforgettable.
A special thank you to our wonderful guide John, who was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and professional. He did an excellent job helping us spot and understand the wildlife, and his experience made our safari even more enjoyable. We were lucky to see so many amazing animals, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and many more.
We would also like to give a huge thank you to Evaline for the excellent organization and communication. She was always helpful, responsive, and made sure everything was arranged smoothly and according to our needs.

A very accomodating, helpful and nice guide who provided lots of Information at any time.
First of all the Safari itself was incredible. We had an amazing time and saw every Animal you could imagine. We were three 20 years old women and felt welcomed and safe at all times. If we had any questions Ruth immediately answered politely even late at night. For payment they visited us at the Hotel we were staying before the Safari started and when it ended we were driven to our Hotel as well from our Tour Guide Kefas. All in all the People from Mountain Warriors are very accomodating and friendly. In our Trip the Route changed and other people joined last Minute. The organisation wasn‘t a 100% perfect during the safari, however nothing extremly bothering because things on a Safari can change quickly. The experience itself was still amazing and we would really recommend.
