A Trip of a Lifetime! Uganda Stole My Heart
5/5

This was truly the trip of a lifetime! We spent almost two weeks with these lovely guys and, by the end, we had really become like a family. Every single day was incredible. We saw all the wildlife we had hoped for and so much more leopards, lions, chimpanzees, gorillas, elephants… honestly, everything was just within arm’s reach!

Our driver, Kiiza, was extremely knowledgeable, and we learned so much from him, not only about the wildlife, but also about Ugandan people, culture and everyday life. He made the experience even more special.

The cars were very suitable for the safari, comfortable and cleaned regularly, which we really appreciated. The hotel rooms were also above my expectations and made the trip even more enjoyable.

The only sad part is that it had to come to an end! ❤️ Uganda truly stole my heart, and I will definitely try to come back one day.

Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience and for making us feel like family. I couldn't recommend this trip more! 🦍🐘🦁❤️

Efficient, flexible and fun.
5/5

My husband and I were with Shever for 3 exciting days travelling from Kigali to Uganda and also Akagera. Shever was good company, always happy and enthusiastic about his country and the animals we saw.
My friend wants to see gorillas next year and I will certainly recommend Kyooma Gorilla Safaris to her.

Goes that extra mile
5/5

Our booking for 2 day visit to Bwindi was very efficiently handled by Mwije. We were accompanied by Shever for whom nothing was too much trouble. He explained everything so clearly and as well as the tour itself it was the little extras that made the difference. Like stopping for lunch in Kabale and beginning at the Genocide Memorial in Kigali. We were like a family for 3 days as we extended to take in Akagera visit. Shever clearly enjoys his job and ensuring his clients have the best time. Next time we are in this part of the world Kyooma Safaris will be our first port of call to make arrangements.

Great communication, itinerary and guide!
5/5

I had an incredible 13 day trip with Kyooma Gorilla Safaris in Uganda. Mwije was quick to respond and customised the trip to suit the number of days I had. The lodges were lovely, located close to the national park gates with friendly staff and great food. My highlight were the primate trekking experiences, seeing chimpanzees, gorillas and golden monkeys was surreal! I also enjoyed the variety of national parks, from a boat cruise along the Nile in Murchison Falls, to games drives in Queen Elizabeth and a walking safari in Lake Mburo. My guide, Kendrick, was personable and a wealth of information. He handled everything with ease, and made the trip seem seamless. I couldn’t have asked for a better guide! I would use Kyooma again for my next safari in the region.

Extraodinary
5/5

Very trustworthy travel agency. Good communication. We received a t-shirt and refillable water bottle. So nice. My daughter and me did 5 day trip to Elisabeth park, Bwindi and buyoni lake. The hotels we very good. We were so lucky with our guide/driver Shever. We felt safe and taken care of. We learned so much from him. During the safari in camp George we saw the lions, hipo and leopard from so close. We missed the tree climbing lions, but what an experience in bwindi. When we forgot something, Shever arranged it all. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

Kyooma Gorilla Safaris created memories that will last a lifetime!
5/5

Our guide Shever really went above and beyond to ensure we had a great trip. He was our bodyguard at the local markets, our personal photographer and comedian, and encyclopaedia on local culture. The highlight of course was the gorillas, but Shiva also saw how much I admired the local women’s technique of carrying babies and facilitated a lesson for me.
I wish Shever and the company all the best and will definitely be recommending them to my family and friends!

Shever was a fantastic guide. Energetic and accommodating.
5/5

Kyooma Gorilla Safaris offered a fantastic all inclusive gorilla tracking experience. Our guide Shever was fun, flexible and topped off what was an already incredible experience.
Kyooma Gorilla Safaris and Shever were flexible with our wishes and took us to see markets and have unique local experiences that weren't planned.
The organisation was fantastic and made the golden monkey experience, gorilla experience and border crossings carefree with all of the paperwork handled by Kyooma.
Accommodation was also fantastic and in particular Embarambi lodge in Uganda which I wished we could have spent more time at.
Finally the gorilla experience was unforgettable and Bwindi national park in Uganda would undoubtedly be my pick if I ever do it again due to the proximity to and number of gorillas we were able to see.
Thank you Kyooma!

A trip of a lifetime
5/5

My friends and I did the 3 day golden monkey and gorilla trek with Kyooma. Honestly, it exceeded all of our expectations. Our guide Shever was kind, efficient and had a great sense of humour. It was like traveling with another friend. The accomodation was amazing, particularly our lodge in Uganda. We were well fed with unlimited water. We were luckily enough to come across 2 other Gorilla families on the trek to our group. This meant we saw a large number of gorillas playing and interacting- absolutely mind blowing! My advice- book the trip. Kyooma will organise everything, keeping you safe, well fed and having the time of your life.

This agency took care of our trip to Rwanda and Uganda to see mountain gorillas, chimpanzees and other natural sites in Uganda and the experience was flawless. The staff is friendly and professional and took care of every detail. I strongly recommend it.
