Safari to Ngorongoro Crater
Our safari to the Ngorongoro Crater was a wonderful experience, and everyone in our group had a great time. The landscape was breathtaking, and we were lucky enough to see a wide variety of animals in their natural habitat.
During the safari, we saw rhinos, lions, hippos, wildebeest, buffalo, zebras, monkeys, and many different species of birds. It was amazing to see so many animals up close and to experience the incredible wildlife of the Ngorongoro Crater.
Our guide was exceptionally friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. He took us to all the best places to see the animals and made sure that we had a great experience throughout the entire safari. He explained a lot about the animals, the landscape, and the crater, and he was able to answer all of our questions.
For lunch, we were provided with a lunch box, which was absolutely sufficient and gave us everything we needed for a relaxing break during the day.
Overall, the safari was an unforgettable experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and would definitely recommend this safari to anyone visiting the Ngorongoro Crater. It was well organized, informative, and full of amazing wildlife encounters.

Great four day safari tour
We booked a four day (three night) safari (visiting four parks: Ngoro Ngoro, Serengeti, Tarangire, Lake Manyara). Everything was great and well organized. Special thank you to Ephata! For those who are thinking about this particular tour, our suggestion - book a 5 days tour so there will be two days and two nights in Serengeti and it will be even more amazing.

Ephata (and his son) were both very friendly and informative
Our safari tour was great! We did 4 parks over 4 days and saw tons of animals. Ephata and his son were our guides and gave us lots of information about the animals and parks. They also recommended some other destinations of interest along our routes where we stopped by, including a Maasai village and Safariland (souvenir store/art exhibit).

Fantastic with organization, communication, advice, reliability and overall quality of the trip
We were referred to Heart of Africa by a friend who had traveled with them and we could not have been happier with them. We did a custom tour with our 2 teenage children. They worked with us before our trip to discuss our needs and preferences and then put together an itinerary for us which exactly met what we wanted to do - a mix of safari activities and human interactions. Every day was special. We spent time in the local communities around Arusha and also had the opportunity to spend time at a school and with a hunter gatherer tribe.
The safaris were fantastic and the staff were all extremely professional and helpful - our guide, Ephata, was amazing at spotting wildlife and always took great care of us. We saw so much wildlife. The accommodations were all great. We ended the trip staying at a beautiful beach front hotel in Zanzibar.
My husband and I have traveled all around the world and we both said this was one of the best trips we have ever taken. We have been back home now for several weeks and I still think about the trip every day.
I would highly recommend Heart of Africa and we hope to return one day.

Excellent service & unforgettable experience
Unforgettable Safari Experience – Absolutely Amazing!
Our safari week in Tanzania was an experience of a lifetime! Every detail was perfectly arranged, from the warm welcome to the well-planned itinerary that allowed us to see the best of Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. The lodges and camps were stunning, with warm hospitality, delicious meals and breathtaking views. Many thanks to Leanne🫶for the flawless organization, excellent service and for all valuable tips and suggestions that made our adventure in Tanzania so unique - we couldn‘t have asked for more!
The true highlight of our trip was our guide and ranger Ephata. His deep knowledge of wildlife, Tanzanian culture, warm personality and sharp eyes made every game drive truly unforgettable. Thanks to him, we spotted the Big 5 and every day brought something new and exciting. He always made sure we were comfortable, safe and having fun. We are so greatful to him for all these memories we‘ll treasure forever. It was already our second Safari with Ephata - and we’re looking forward to the next one!

Amazing 8-Day Safari, Every Day Full of Wildlife & Surprises!
We joined an 8-day safari with our guide, Godfrey, and it exceeded all expectations. Every single day, we saw so many animals, Godfrey was incredibly experienced; the moment he heard something over the radio, he would immediately take us there, and every chase led to another surprise. It felt like being part of a real-life wildlife documentary.
The accommodations arranged were also very comfortable and well-chosen — great views, cozy rooms, and friendly staff everywhere we stayed. We felt safe, well taken care of, and completely immersed in the beauty of Tanzania.
Highly recommend this team, and definitely ask for Godfrey — he made our safari unforgettable!

Fantastic experience! Everyone we met was helpful, friendly, and reliable. The tour itself was better than we imagined! We saw all the animals we wanted to see even after picking a shorter safari. The lodge we stayed in was very nice with great service. Would definitely go back and do a longer safari!
