An outstanding solo trip with excellent guides and seamless logistics
Ethio Top Land Tours completely exceeded my expectations. The company is highly reliable, communicates excellently, responds quickly, and offers great value for money. Despite the logistical challenges of travelling through the South Omo Valley, everything was handled seamlessly and professionally, including adapting the itinerary to weather conditions and to incorporate extra visits that weren't originally included, and rescheduling a cancelled flight so I could continue my journey on time.
As a solo traveller, I couldn't have asked for better guides. Lamesgn and Abel made me feel more like a friend than a client, and I always felt safe and well looked after. [Unforgettable Layover in Addis Ababa with Ethio Top Land Tours]
During a one-day layover with Ethiopian Airlines, I booked a day tour with Ethio Top Land Tours—and it turned out to be the highlight of my first trip to Ethiopia.
My guides, Mr. Lamesgn and Mr. Eshetu, met me right at the airport parking lot. We packed so much into a single day: an authentic local market, the Presidential Palace, a church, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, and a traditional coffee bar. Despite some rain along the way, hot local coffee kept the vibe warm and enjoyable.
They took great care of me all the way to my hotel, and we had insightful conversations comparing tourism in our two countries. Thanks to their attentive and professional hospitality, I took home incredible photos and lasting memories. I deeply appreciate their efforts and hope to visit Addis Ababa again with my wife and book with them once more!

We spent 21 unforgettable days exploring the beautiful and diverse country of Ethiopia with our group of friends, and it was truly an experience of a lifetime. As friends who share a passion for photography, we had countless priceless moments, breathtaking landscapes, incredible wildlife, and wonderful cultural encounters that we will never forget.
Our journey included 10 days exploring the spectacular Simien and Bale Mountains, followed by 11 days discovering the historical, cultural, and natural treasures of Lalibela, Gondar, the Omo Valley, and Harar. 16 Days in Ethiopia: Great Organization, Friendly People, and Amazing Places
Ethiopia was the 27th African country we explored, and what an incredible experience it was! We spent 16 wonderful days discovering the northern and southern parts of this beautiful country, and our journey was even better than we had expected.
Before arriving in Ethiopia, we contacted Ethio Tap Land Tour and shared a sample itinerary with them. They did an excellent job organizing the trip and creating a clear, well-structured program that was easy for us to understand. We were so impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail that, three months later, we decided to travel to Ethiopia with them. Looking back, it was absolutely the right choice!
From the moment we arrived at the airport, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. The team greeted us warmly and surprised us with beautiful handmade scarves as gifts, which was such a thoughtful gesture. We also had quite a lot of heavy luggage, and they kindly helped us store some of it at their office, making our journey much more comfortable.
During our 16-day adventure, we explored Addis Ababa, Bahir Dar, Gondar, the Simien Mountains, Lalibela, Ziway, Lake Abijata, Hawassa, and the Omo Valley. Every destination offered something special, from Ethiopia's rich history and fascinating culture to its breathtaking landscapes and unique local communities. The entire experience was truly amazing and went beyond our expectations.
We would especially like to thank our driver in the Omo Valley, who accompanied us for seven days and made that part of our journey so enjoyable. A big thank-you also goes to Adis, our guide in Gondar, and our escort in the Simien Mountains. They were all very helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout our trip.

The team took great care of our child.
During our trip to the scorching hot volcano, the tour guide, driver, and chef arranged by the agency were extremely professional and took great care of us. They kept us well-supplied with plenty of water, delicious food, and cold drinks. An incredible 17-day solo journey across Ethiopia with top-notch care
As a solo traveler, I had an incredible 17-day tour across both northern and southern Ethiopia with Ethio Top Land Tours. From the very beginning, Lamasge was exceptionally responsible, truly understood traveler needs, and replied to every question with impressive speed. The journey was deeply moving—from the rich history in the north to the fascinating tribal cultures in the south.
Safety is clearly their top priority. Even though safety concerns kept me from visiting Axum, their alternative itinerary was seamless and did not disappoint at all.
A very special thanks to Zola, my driver for the 3-day Afar trip, and Abel, my driver-guide for the 7-day southern tribes tour. Both were attentive, dependable, and looked after me so well throughout the trip. Traveling solo in areas with limited infrastructure felt completely safe, comfortable, and memorable thanks to them. Wonderful experience in Northern Ethiopia with a professional and caring team
Our journey through Ethiopia with Ethio Top Land Tours was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Ethiopia is such a fascinating country, and having such a reliable local company organising the journey allowed us to relax and really enjoy everything we were seeing.
We travelled through very different parts of northern Ethiopia, from the spectacular scenery of the Simien Mountains to the castles of Gondar, ancient Axum, the extraordinary churches of Tigray and Lalibela, before finishing in Addis Ababa. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, and we were very happy with the standard of the hotels and the restaurants recommended along the way.
A special thank you must go to our guide Desale, who looked after us so well throughout the trip. He was kind, patient and always attentive to what we needed. Travelling with someone who knows the country so personally made a huge difference, and his warmth and enthusiasm made even the long journeys enjoyable. He was also always there to help with practical things, including carrying and helping us with our luggage throughout the trip, which we really appreciated.
I was particularly impressed by how dependable the company was when things did not go according to plan. Bad weather caused unexpected changes to several of our domestic flights, but the team quickly found alternatives and adapted our schedule without us losing any of the important experiences we had travelled to Ethiopia for. They were even willing to cover the additional costs caused by these changes themselves, despite the circumstances being completely outside their control. It gave us great confidence knowing there was always someone taking care of the details.
The tour was also very good value for money. Everything that had been agreed was included in the price, with no hidden costs or unexpected charges, so we always knew exactly what we were paying for.
We came away with some wonderful memories and a much deeper appreciation of Ethiopia. A caring, dependable and very professional team that I would happily travel with again. Highly recommended.

An unforgettable journey through Ethiopia with an exceptional guide
We had an incredible 7-day trip with Ethio Top Land Tours, covering the Simien Mountains, Gondar, Axum, the rock-hewn churches of Tigray, Lalibela and Addis Ababa. It was an ambitious itinerary, but everything was extremely well organised and we were amazed by how much we were able to experience in just one week.
Our guide Desale was one of the highlights of the trip. His knowledge of Ethiopian history and culture is excellent, but what we appreciated most was how much local insight he brought to every place we visited. He was always happy to explain things, introduce us to people and help us understand the country beyond the main sights. He even took us to his own village, which was a really special experience and gave us a glimpse of everyday Ethiopian life that we would never have found on our own.
The organisation behind the scenes was equally impressive. Weather caused several last-minute flight changes during our trip, but the company and manager handled everything immediately, adjusting hotels, transport and sightseeing so that we still managed to complete the entire itinerary. We never had to deal with the stress ourselves.

I never felt alone: an unforgettable 10 days Ethiopian journey
I was traveling alone as a female traveler, so before the trip I was a little bit scared and nervous. But honestly, after meeting my guide Mente and driver Abel, I quickly forgot about those worries. They were both outstanding and treated me very well throughout the whole trip. I never felt like I was traveling alone.
I did a 10-day tour covering Lalibela, Danakil Depression and Omo Valley, and every place was completely different and unforgettable. I never imagined Ethiopia could have such amazing and unique tours.
Lalibela was especially incredible. It really felt like another world, and I am very lucky that I had the chance to visit it. Danakil was also an amazing experience; with landscapes I had never seen before. I especially enjoyed the Omo Valley because of the culture and the different tribes. Their traditions, languages, food and way of life are so unique. I enjoyed asking Mente many questions and learning about how people live there. Even the local drinks made from sorghum or barley were interesting to experience and learn about.
Another thing I really loved was the people. Everywhere we went, people were very kind and welcoming to tourists. I felt comfortable and welcomed throughout my journey.
Actually, I enjoyed my time in Ethiopia more than the three months I spent in another African country. Ethiopia really surprised me, and I will always remember these 10 days.
