A really professional journey
we are so lucky to have Roger being our guide for this safari. He is so professional that takes us see many animals (many lions, cheetahs, leopards in Serengenti and rhinos in Nogorngor crate) in limited time and very patient for every watching. During the trip we talked about everything: animal, the masai people and development of Tanzania which deepen our understand of this impressive country. I Recommend SOMEWHERE IN AFRICA 100%.
The only issue is that the vehicle is not in very great condition, so the ride through Serengeti will be quite bumpy. But considering the company's relatively good price, I think it's fair.

Hands down the best safari ever, thanks to Somewhere in Africa and Charles's incredible guiding!
finding the right safari agency is the hardest part for the safari tour. I contacted almost more than 30 agencies, and I chose the somewhere in Africa.
and this is my best choice.
Nuhu who had connected me for itinerary is so nice. he didn't push me as the other agency, he answered for around 20 questions, made sure there were no misunderstandings about the itinerary. he is the first one who checked the lodge availability at the 1st itinerary. he worked so clear, fast and well communicated.
For our guide, Charles is the best guide ever. he is so smart, humble and thoughtful. we started game drive from Northern for the great migration, and we saw it around 4times during only 1and a half day. he drives so well, found the animals so fast, and knows about everything in the serengeti wild-life. he answered us every questions. he is also very passionate. when we were watching the leopard on the tree, it was hard to see because it was hiding in the leaves. Charles kept trying find a good position so all of us could watch the leopard soooo well. not for leopard but every moment he did his best for us. If i come back to serengeti I'd absolutely do this again with Charles.
Hope my review is helpful to all future visitors, don't hesitate and make a nice deal with this agency and have wonderful experience!!

A great travel agency that listens to your wishes
The communication was really excellent. There were a few changes due to flight schedule adjustments, and those were taken care of right away—nothing was too much trouble for them.
Our safari began the evening before the safari. Our guide, Noel, came to introduce himself and went over a few things before the safari started.
Like the time he’d pick us up, but also—and most importantly—what we shouldn’t forget, such as sunscreen, insect repellent, and a hat or something similar. The safari began the next day. He explained where we’d start and where we were headed. It was a really wonderful trip. You could ask him anything, and he knew a little bit about everything. If he didn’t know something, he’d look it up in his guidebook. If you saw something, you could just point it out, and he’d stop to take pictures, etc. If you tell him what you want to see, he’ll really go out of his way to find it. The accommodations were also well-organized, both at our main base and at all the locations during the safari.
The gluten-free diet that needed to be accommodated went very smoothly everywhere, and all the locations took it into account.
All the day trips, such as to the waterfall and to the city (Arusha), were also very well organized.
It was truly a vacation we’ll never forget, and definitely worth the money.
We’d like to thank Allan, Coosje, and all the staff for this wonderful vacation. It was an unforgettable experience, thanks in part to them.

A reliable and professional operator for a truly tailor-made Safari
We had a wonderful mid-range safari experience in Tanzania with Somewhere in Africa and would definitely recommend them.
From the beginning, Eliakim helped us create a tailor-made itinerary based on our wishes and interests, including Tarangire, Northern Serengeti for the Great Migration, Central Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. Communication was clear and professional, and everything went smoothly throughout the trip.
The Great Migration was truly incredible and one of the highlights of our safari. We had the chance to see a lot of animals and this made us so happy!
Our driver-guide, Daudi, was very knowledgeable and spoke very good Italian. He shared many interesting insights about the animals and their behaviour and understood what we hoped to see, choosing suitable areas while always respecting park rules and wildlife.
We were also very happy with all the accommodations: fantastic locations, helpful staff, comfortable rooms and excellent food.
Overall, Somewhere in Africa proved to be a reliable and well-organized operator, with great flexibility and attention to our wishes. A special thank you to Eliakim and Daudi and the whole Team for a truly memorable safari!

Great combination of safari and cultural visits with locals
We (Dutch couple 67 and 69) enjoyed our time with Somewhere In Africa. The personnel was very friendly and knowledgable. During our trips we always felt safe. We spent most time with Amani. He is very capable in spotting animals and very patiënt explaining where we should look. Visits of Masaai (without typical jumping for tourists) and Hadzabe were Some highlights of our trip. We higly recommend Somewhere In Africa.

An unforgettable 3-day safari with Somewhere in Africa!
We booked a private 3-day safari in Tanzania, from 25–27 August 2026, for our family of two adults and two children, visiting Serengeti and Ngorongoro. From the first contact until the end of the trip, everything was extremely well organized, and we couldn't be happier with our choice of Somewhere in Africa.
The booking process was excellent, and a special mention goes to our sales agent, Nuhu. He was incredibly helpful, professional and responsive, organized everything perfectly and gave us some of the best advice throughout the planning process. His recommendations really helped us make the right choices for our family and get the most out of the safari.
The transfers and flights were also very well organized. The transfer from our hotel in Zanzibar to the airport and back was seamless, and the flights between Zanzibar and the Serengeti airstrip with Flightlink, and from Arusha back to Zanzibar with Auric Air, were arranged perfectly.
But what really made our safari exceptional was our driver/guide, Amani. In our opinion, we couldn't have asked for a better guide. During the three days, his experience, knowledge and incredible ability to find wildlife allowed us not only to see the Big Five, but also countless other animals and some truly amazing and unexpected moments.
One of the highlights came already on our first day, when we witnessed something quite rare and spectacular — a lioness hunting gazelles. It was an incredible experience and something our whole family will remember for a very long time.
The timing of our trip was also fantastic, as we were lucky enough to experience the Great Migration. Seeing such a spectacular natural phenomenon in the Serengeti was simply unforgettable.
The accommodation during the two nights was also very good. We stayed at Kon Tiki Serengeti Camp and Ngorongoro Corridor Lodge, and we were very pleased with both.
Choosing a private safari was definitely the right decision for our family. The Toyota Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof provided plenty of space and comfort for the four of us, but, more importantly, it allowed us to adapt the daily schedule to our family's needs without having to depend on other people.
Another experience that we highly recommend was the visit to a Maasai village as we entered the Ngorongoro Corridor. This was an incredibly interesting and authentic experience, both for us and especially for our children. Although this was an additional activity at $25 per person, as clearly stated from the beginning, it was absolutely worth it.
Our children had an amazing time throughout the safari. Amani was incredibly patient with them and gave them lots of explanations, making sure they understood what they were seeing and why it was important. They felt safe at all times, even during those exciting moments when some of the animals came surprisingly close to the vehicle!
Overall, this was a wonderful and unique experience for our entire family, and one we will remember for many years to come. We would especially recommend Somewhere in Africa to families travelling with children — they were professional, reliable and genuinely committed to making our safari special.
A huge thank you to Nuhu and Amani for making this adventure such an unforgettable experience. We couldn't have asked for a better safari! 🦁🐘🦒🐆🐃
Highly recommended!

We had an absolutely amazing 2-day safari in Tanzania! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish, and the whole experience exceeded our expectations.
The landscapes were absolutely stunning, and we were lucky enough to see so many animals throughout the safari. It was truly an unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of our trip to Tanzania.
The lodges where we stayed were also fantastic, very comfortable, beautiful, and perfectly chosen for the safari. The whole organization was smooth and professional, so we could simply relax and enjoy every moment.
A special thank you to our guide, Charles, who was absolutely great! He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more enjoyable.

A relaxed, helpful and flexible tour guide
Our Regent Safari trip was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Everything was well organized, the service was excellent, and the overall experience was enjoyable and memorable. We appreciated the attention to detail and friendly staff. Especially the help from Charles, Nari and the owner Allan himself. A flight delay was no problem and the transport to the hotel could be shifted very flexibly. It was a fantastic trip that we would happily recommend to others.
