Great
We had a great double-primate safari with Bush Craft Safaris! Our guide was exceptionally professional—thanks to him, we spotted the Big 4 in Queen Elizabeth National Park (missing only the rhino, which is only in the north) and were lucky enough to see a tree-climbing lion. Securely acquiring the permits went seamlessly, allowing us to get up close with both chimpanzees in Kibale and a silverback gorilla in Bwindi. While all the lodge staff provided wonderful service, the physical facilities were somewhat basic, and none of our accommodations across the 5 days had stable or sufficient hot water for showers.

Incredible bush experience in Uganda
We had an absolutely fantastic 6-day Uganda safari with Bush Craft Safaris—everything was well organized from start to finish. The chimpanzee trekking in Kibale and gorilla trekking in Bwindi were both incredible and we had ample time with the animals, and the community experience was also very meaningful. Queen Elizabeth National Park was a highlight: we saw the Big Four (there are no rhinos there) along with plenty of herbivores, and the Kazinga Channel boat cruise was simply amazing with an astonishing density of wildlife. Our guide Allen, whom we pre-booked based on his excellent client reviews, was outstanding—his eyesight was phenomenal (he spotted elephants that we needed 40x zoom to even see), and he was incredibly helpful and kind, even stopping twice to help other drivers whose vehicles were stuck in the mud. Plus, he was so knowledgeable about animals and highly skillful in driving.
We highly recommend Bush Craft Safaris and especially Allen for an unforgettable Ugandan safari.

Bruce the superstar
I couldn’t recommend this experience highly enough. The entire 3-day trip was incredibly well organised from start to finish, and everything ran smoothly throughout.
A massive special mention has to go to my guide, Bruce. He was absolutely unbelievable and genuinely went above and beyond to make the trip as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him, and he even went out of his way to help me with things that were well outside what I would have expected from a guide.
Bruce’s knowledge of Uganda, the wildlife, local culture and the gorilla trekking experience was first class. He was always happy to answer questions, explain what we were seeing and share his knowledge along the way. On top of that, he was incredibly friendly, professional and great company for the entire three days.
The gorilla trek itself was an unforgettable experience, but having Bruce as our guide made the whole trip even better. He is an absolute credit to the company and I couldn’t speak more highly of him.
If you’re considering booking a gorilla trekking trip, I would 100% recommend this company — and if you get the chance to have Bruce as your guide, you’re in very good hand's. Thanks again Bruce for an amazing few

An incredible experience where we felt cared for and supported by great experts.
It has been a great trip. Víctor, the guide, was very professional and friendly, and Frank, the driver, was also very professional. The tour of Uganda was truly wonderful, thanks to Innocent and our guide and driver. Well-organized visits and fabulous accommodations. Highly recommended.

Fabulous company that made once in a lifetime experience special
We arranged our trip only two months in advance. We dealt with Innocence who was quick to respond and took us through all that was needed especially visas. On arrival we we collected from the hotel by Frank who remained with us for 3 days. The accommodation we stayed in exceeded our expectations and service was fantastic. The experience of staying an hour with gorillas was worth the sometimes arduous trek. The lay day was spent with an informative tour of the lake. Before being dropped back to the hotel
Frank went out of his way to take us to a restaurant to sample real Rwandan food. A brilliant 3 days, innocent was easy to communicate with and Frank’s company for 3 days was a joy. Would recommend.

Incredible Adventure from start to finish
We had an incredible 12-day safari with Bushcraft in June 2026 exploring the highlights of Uganda. The itinerary they provided was our favorite from those offered by several providers and Innocent was extremely responsive and flexible in tailoring the itinerary exactly to our needs. Allan was an amazing guide; knowledgeable, flexible, professional and a truly lovely, friendly and genuine person. We enjoyed every moment of our safari start to finish. We saw all of the Big 5 and had an amazing time gorilla, chimp and golden monkey tracking. Allan did an excellent job of providing the exact kind of viewing opportunities we enjoyed; allowing us to take plenty of time observing the animals and taking photos. We loved the cultural experiences and the flow of the intinerary in general. We will definitely use Bushcraft in the future for any other East African trips! It was our first safari but based on how amazing our trip was it won’t be our last!

Once in a life time!
Frank was an exceptional tour guide. He knew all the answers to our million questions about both Uganada and Rwanda, he was flexible and efficient in managing our tour and giving us the most of our time and every experience. He delivered on all the small asks and local moments that made the trip extra special. He is a great driver that made us feel safe in all driving situations (safari, truck traffic, rough roads, mountains) which gave us all signficant confidence and comfort throughout the trip. Frank was also always friendly and kind in conversation at meals and in the car.
Overall we loved everything about our experience and would recommend Bush Craft and Franklin the guide to all friends and family who are looking for a once in a lifetime holiday.

Such an incredible experience, I could not recommend this tour more. Great communication from the team from the start and so well organised. Our tour guide Frank was amazing, he was so knowledgeable, trustworthy and reliable. We did a lot of tough driving but I always felt safe with him. I’d do this again tomorrow if I could!

Brilliant safari experience!
Bushcraft Safaris provided an incredible 7-day safari experience for us, covering Volcanoes National Park, Bwindi National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Kibale National Park. The Gorilla and Chimpanzee trekking were unforgettable and a real highlight of the trip for us.
Our guide Frank was professional throughout, and accommodated our requests to stop off at various viewpoints along the drive to break the journey up. Frank was knowledgeable about the wildlife and endeavoured to make sure we had the best views possible of the animals when driving around the national parks. He was a safe driver and made us feel comfortable throughout.
The accommodation was excellent, with Bweza Gorilla lodge and Bweza Kibale lodge being particularly idyllic. The staff were all extremely attentive and the 3-course meals were delicious!
Overall, we were very happy with our tour and would definitely recommend Bushcraft Safaris!
