An Amazing Safari Experience – Highly Recommended!
Everything was perfectly organized from the very beginning, starting with a smooth and punctual pickup. After Ivan explained everything to us, we set off on the really long journey to the national park.
Even though the long drives must have been exhausting for him as well, Ivan was always in a great mood, friendly, and helpful whenever we needed anything. We really appreciated his positive attitude and dedication throughout the entire trip.
The game drives in the park were fantastic! We were lucky with the weather and, despite travelling during the rainy season, we didn't get any rain at all. We saw so many amazing animals and had some truly unforgettable experiences.
The food was excellent throughout the trip, and the restaurants were always well chosen. Everything was well organized, and we felt well taken care of from start to finish.
All in all, we can highly recommend this safari! Just be aware that getting from Kampala to the national park involves spending a LOT of time in the car, so be prepared for some long and tiring drives. But it's absolutely worth it!

Amazing trip to Uganda!
Just got back from my trip to Uganda - it was amazing!
I first enquired with Openbill safaris in June, they are competitively priced and I chose to go to Uganda with them in September.
Emmanuel has been so helpful throughout, from the initial enquiry and keeping me updated as the trip approached, all the way through to the end of my trip where he was my guide. Communication was great!
I felt safe the whole time despite being a solo female traveller, and really enjoyed my time in Uganda - the main highlights were shoebill tracking, rhino sanctuary, community activities, chimp trekking and gorilla trekking.
Great Safari company, I would use again for future tours in other East Africa countries too.

Unforgettable
We spent over two weeks exploring the beautiful country of Uganda with Openbill Safaris Uganda, and the entire experience completely exceeded our expectations. It was a truly immersive journey that was deeply respectful of the local communities, nature, and the territory. Our itinerary covered all the incredible highlights Uganda has to offer. We went on thrilling wildlife safaris, and the absolute highlights were the life-changing gorilla and chimpanzee trekking experiences. Beyond the wildlife, Openbill Safaris did an amazing job of immersing us in the local culture. They even organized a trip for us to watch an Africa Cup of Nations match live at the stadium, which was an unforgettable, high-energy highlight! Emmanuel and his team looked after every single detail with maximum professionalism, passion, and care. Their prices were considerably lower than the competition, yet the quality of the experience wasn't affected at all—in fact, it exceeded every expectation.
What truly set the trip apart was our guide. He was incredibly personable and felt like a member of the family by the end of the week. He managed a difficult balance: he was a consummate professional who kept us safe and included, yet he felt like a close friend who could tailor every moment to our specific tastes.
He didn’t just stick to the standard routes; he took us to unforgettable, unexpected locations and hidden, less-touristic spots that were breathtaking.
