Professional, friendly and efficient
5/5

Great service, efficient, friendly, experienced

We did the 10 days’ safari throughout Namibia. Everything was very well organized and we were very pleased with the driver-guide, the vehicle, and the accommodation. And we managed to see it all during our tour. Discovery Tours was very well-organized, I will surely come back again and use their services in the future.

SCAM: Discovery Transfer and Tours Cancellation Policy
1/5

Due to COVID-19, we cancelled our tour scheduled for August 18 via email on June 29. Our message was ignored. Consequently, I contacted SafariBookings on Facebook about this unprofessional behavior. Shortly after the FB posting, a representative of DTT acknowledged our email after 40 days. He informed us the company would not issue a refund. Their Terms and Conditions contain a section entitled "Cancellation Policy".
The wording are explicit in this paragraph and states "the following charges will apply ....30 or more days prior to departure 10% of the total reservation amount". The company is retaining the full 20% of the total reservation amount instead. The cancellation policy is a SCAM! It is intended to lure customers into a false sense of security and trust. This company SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED. Furthermore, it should be delisted from SafariBookings' website otherwise potential customers will assume they are an ethical. company.

In addition, we told the rep "no further communication is needed". However, Fanuel sent us another repetitive message. This is harassment.

Hi Bettye

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are so sorry that you had a negative experience with our company. Our goal is the total satisfaction of our customer, and to provide a positive experience. The must-have been misunderstanding between you and the team. We send our cancellation policy to our clients for them to read and understand our terms and condition before any payment is done from their end. 20% deposit is non-refundable and clearly stipulated in our T&C. The 20% deposit is used by the operators to secure accommodations that are part of the itinerary you have chosen. Please take notes that all lodges and Hotels in Namibia requires 20% deposit for any provisional booking made by tour operators. We are sincerely sorry that you misunderstood our terms and condition.

Magical and Amazing time in Namibia
5/5

My Partner and I had the most incredible time traveling around Namibia with Discovery Transfer and Tour. We signed up for a group tour but ended up having a private trip with Shawn.

It was really important for us to support a local company- and this company is one of five black-owned and operated tour companies in Namibia. Shawn and the other guides, that we had the privilege of meeting throughout our tour, were beyond knowledgable and really gave us insight into what Namibia is really like.

Shawn picked us up from the hotel (even got there early!) and we sat down and went over the whole tour for the 8 days. He took my wife's dietary issues seriously and she was accommodated throughout the entire trip. (It's easy to be gluten- free in Namibia!)

Highlights:
- Learning about the Oshivambo culture and eating traditional foods at Hafeni
- Climbing the dunes (Shawn is a master of driving in the sand)
- Seeing the flamingos and exploring the coastal towns
- Spotting a Rhino in Etosha
- BBQing together and seeing the amazing southern hemisphere sky
- and so much more!

Bring binoculars and be prepared to be covered in dust the entire trip. The drought in Namibia is no joke, and everything gets covered.

We can't wait to go back.
We also would love to answer any questions!

Pleasant trip but need to be more organized
4/5

The whole trip was pleasant. The first day we stayed in a mention which has quite distance from the city centre, it's hard to get around without a car.
The next day when we got started, we've been informed to merge with another group which was totally fine but not really an upgraded as been told.
During the game drive, we've been driven to some certain spots where they normally saw big cats moving around. We tried to ask if we could drive to other spots but they were not really willing to do it. Our lodge was actually 30mins driving from Etosha park.
We've got a change for guides. The first one was much more passion. The second one was kind and nice but not very informative when we got the chance to see some wild animals.
If the service can be a bit more organized , I'll be more satisfied.

Great Tour & Business
5/5

I had the pleasure to take a tour with these guys, and everything was fantastic. I booked way ahead, so much so that they were not offering my tour by the time I was set to go. This was no problem, as the owner of the business, Fanuel took me on the tour himself. I booked the budget camping tour, which was very comfortable, and my guides Seven and Shawn did a great job helping us make camp and preparing great meals each night. As my partners continued on a different leg of the tour Fanuel picked me up and we headed for Etosha. Fanuel upgraded me to a lodge, which was an incredibly nice gesture. In Etosha, our guides were great at knowing when and where to go, and we saw everything we wanted to see, including 40 elephants in one spot, which they had never seen before. It was a great experience with excellent customer service. If I'm ever in Namibia again, I will definitely use their company.

All of the guides, Mr. Fanlo and Mr. Seven, were very kind and sent me back and forth to the restaurant at night.
Let's enjoy the Namib desert!

Such an amazing experience
5/5

My friend I loved our 3-day Sossusvlei trip with Discovery!! Fanuel and Lukas helped us with everything and has made our journey much more convenient and fun. They were just like our friends who made tons of jokes and interesting conversations along the trip, and were very patient and responsive to help with our needs. The scenery of Sossusvlei was absolutely gorgeous and a memory of a lifetime. I’m so glad that we chose them and would recommend them to everyone who’s looking for a beautiful experience in Namibia.

Best experience in Namibia travel
5/5

Discover is so great,my friend and me booked a camping tour from Swakopmund to Sossulvei for 3 days, and they provided us a perfect service and being so sweet and gentle to us. Besides we talked a lot like Namibia culture and their custom, and both we shared our local cuisine, It was a wonderful experience we had in Namibia,Even after the tour end, they still care whether we were safe to be our destination. It was so great to meet them and having them as our tour guide.
Danki Fanuel and Lukas.
