Terms & Conditions for Adventures on Wheels (AOW-Africa)
1. Booking & Payment

A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking to secure the reservation.

The remaining balance is due 60 days before the safari start date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Bookings made less than 60 days before departure must be paid in full immediately.

2. Best Price Guarantee

In line with our agreement with SafariBookings.com, we guarantee that the price for our tours on SafariBookings is equal to or lower than on our own website or other direct sales channels, for the same tour under the same conditions.
SafariBookings.com

If a client shows a lower valid price (same itinerary, dates, accommodation) before final payment or within 24 hours after, we will match it or refund the difference as appropriate.

3. Cancellation Policy

More than 60 days before departure: 50% of the full cost will be forfeited.

31–60 days before departure: 75% of the full cost will be forfeited.

Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of the full cost will be forfeited.

Note: stricter supplier cancellation policies (lodges, park fees) may apply, and we will pass those on as necessary.

4. Changes to Itinerary

Minor changes (e.g., dinner, small activities) can be accommodated without a fee, subject to availability.

Major changes (dates, number of travelers, route) after the deposit may incur an administration fee and/or cost differences passed on by suppliers.

If changes are forced by us (e.g., by supplier availability), we will offer alternatives of equal or better value or a refund.

5. Risk, Liability & Insurance

Safari travel is inherently adventurous. Clients acknowledge and accept the risks associated with wildlife, remote locations, and changing conditions.

Clients must carry their own travel insurance covering personal accident, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, cancellation, and personal liability.

We (AOW-Africa) are not liable for injury, loss, theft, or damage unless caused by our gross negligence.

We are also not responsible for delays or disruption caused by force majeure (e.g., weather, political unrest, government actions).

6. Conduct

All participants must follow the instructions of our guides/drivers. Their decisions are final in the interest of safety.

We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel the remainder of a safari if a client’s behaviour endangers others, wildlife, or themselves, without refund.

7. Travel Documentation & Health

Clients are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports, visas, permits, and vaccinations required for the trip.

We do not accept liability for costs or issues resulting from clients’ failure to carry correct documentation or meet health requirements.

8. Complaints & Dispute Resolution

Any complaints during the safari should be raised immediately with the guide so we can try to resolve them on the ground.

If not resolved, a written complaint must be submitted within 14 days after the end of the safari, including booking reference, date, and details of the issue.

Disputes will be handled under Zimbabwean law (or another agreed jurisdiction, depending on parties).

9. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond control, such as natural disasters, war, government restrictions, pandemics, or other “Acts of God.”

In such cases, we will attempt to reschedule the trip or offer a refund for services not rendered, but we cannot guarantee full compensation for all costs (especially non-refundable ones).

10. Liability Towards SafariBookings

As per our partnership agreement, we indemnify SafariBookings from claims arising from our service delivery, incorrect information, or failure to honor the Best Price Guarantee.
