Leon Safaris operates throughout Botswana, with a particular focus on the Okavango Delta, Moremi, Khwai, Savuti, Chobe and other remote wilderness areas. Our safari portfolio includes fully serviced mobile expeditions, lodge-based activities and our developing Canvas Collection of intimate wilderness camps.
Our mobile expeditions offer guests a traditional Botswana safari experience, travelling through different wildlife areas with a dedicated guide and camp team. Camps are comfortable, simple and designed to keep guests close to nature while still providing good food, warm hospitality and a relaxed atmosphere.
The Canvas Collection represents a more refined side of the Leon Safaris experience, with small three-tent camps positioned in carefully selected wilderness areas. The concept is built around low guest numbers, understated comfort, minimal environmental impact and a strong emphasis on guiding and location.
Leon Oppedal’s years of experience in Botswana’s mobile safari industry continue to influence the company’s approach, particularly in guiding standards, route planning and guest experience.
