Jambo Explorer Kenya Tours & Travels!
Yes, you heard it right "Jambo" or "Hello" to an amazing tour organised by Explorer Kenya Tours & Travels and this was possible with superb guidance of Mr. Robert (The Co. Owner) and Ms. Kawira Purity who has always been helpful to design the best tour plan with maximum Game Reserve coverage. The real hero of our entire tour was none other than Mr. Bernard Muiru, we call him "Njinu '' our guide for the entire tour. Hats off to Njinu for his foresightedness which made this tour an excellent experience across all places - Starting from Samburu (Thanks Njinu for showing the cheetah family, it was a very rare sight and Oh yes, the beautiful reticulated giraffe sight so close near our resort during sunset still makes us feel come back soon to Samburu), in lake Nakuru National Park (We still remember the 9 lion family members having the food hunt together and run to see the leopard. Our next stop was the crescent island of Lake Naivasha. Doing the walking safari along with the wildlife - Giraffe, zebras and so many other animals was a lifetime experience. The famous sand river of Maasai Mara Game Reserve is still afresh with us wherein we were there alone to see the lion family for hours and that too so close. The nights were exciting too, hearing the sound of hippopotamus beside our hotel room was full of fun. Last but not the least, never ever seen so many elephants together like in Amboseli. Thousands and thousands of wildebeest, zebras, African buffalos in the mara game reserve and so many other animals during the great migration made us awestruck. Bad driver did not deliver tour itinerary.
Maybe this experience is idiosyncratic, but our driver was not delivering the booked tour itinerary.
We booked a 3 days Amboseli safari, with a morning game drive on the last day.
The driver refused to deliver the morning game drive even though it was clearly on the itinerary. He also got aggressive ans insulting when we brought up the topic. My conjecture is that the driver wanted to pocket in the entrance fee for the park.
Further, on the way back, driver did not pay toll for expressway in Nairobi, letting us stand in traffic jam for 2 hours and unnecessarily prolonging the journey.
Also the convenience fee they charge on online payments is unreasonable.
Otherwise the service was okay but for the price I would expect differently.
Stay away from this provider.

Great accommodations, guides, and animal viewings!
I highly recommend Explorer Kenya, and especially our safari guide Bernard Njinu! The safari was well-organized and the accommodations were very comfortable. They were also great with our various dietary restrictions and made us a custom lunch that worked with everyone's needs. The tour itself was incredible - I was constantly amazed at Bernard's extensive knowledge and storytelling skills, and with how well he was able to spot animals from a distance. He got us up very close to the animals too, and managed to do so without disturbing them. Overall this was an amazing experience!
Seven days safari with Jonathan
Kenya safaris. We enjoyed the whole experience. We were picked from the airport by our driver guide Jonathan Maina and headed for the masai mara. Our guide was very linient and patent he went ahead and made our safari wonderful.
We are thankful for explorer Kenya safaris and our guide Jonathan for making our photo safari adventure come true. We hope we will be back soon and we would definatley ask for Jonathan as our guide.
We highly recommend explorer Kenya and Jonathan maina as your driver guide. Asante sana.

Seven days safari in kenya
the trip has exceeded expectations. The organization has been perfect, from the first moment we have felt very Agustí with our guide, Jonathan Maina, who has made it possible for us to see the Big Five and practically all the mammals and birds that we wanted to see on this trip. Masai Mara is a mythical place that you cannot miss, and Amboseli in a special place, on the slope of Kilimanjaro. Excellent service and very professional
Did a 3 day trip to Amboseli NP with Sammy as driver/guide. Sammy has excellent spotting skills and thorough wildlife knowledge (particularly birds!) and was very professional throughout, would definitely recommend.

Great experience with ranger Jonathan!
We had a really nice experience with Explorer Kenya and our ranger Jonathan. He was really such a sweet and relaxed person, we had a great time with him. It was very nice to see that he was also still excited to see the animals - even after his 18 years of experience. No complaints at all. Would highly recommend!

Very professional, with experience and excellent knowledge of the field.
I went with my family to Massai Mara for a weekend and everything went very well. We had a kind and professional driver, in control all the time. He adapted to our requests and made things easy for us, eventually seeing all the animals we wanted to see.

Best experience of my life
My wife & I came for a honeymoon to the beautiful country of Kenya, everything was planned to perfection, even the communication with Robert was excellent and Robert gave us his best guy “Jonathan”, I believe Jonathan very pure heartedly wanted us to have the best best best of time and make a memory for the rest of our lives.
What we did?
Day 1: arrive and rest at Nairobi in radiun blu, super safe & beautiful property
Day 2: here is where the journey gets exciting and we go to nakuru national park, we arrived and it was a beautiful day with some drizzle, just after reaching we checked in and had a little rest at about 3:30 PM we went out for a game drive and to our surprise the first animals we saw... are the ferocious lion couples... apart from that we saw several several more animals no rhino in sight though.
Day 3: we wake up early morning leave for an early morning game drive and bam Jonathan’s super friend circle and constant radio chatters helped us to see a full family of rhinos... it was beautiful... we also saw thousands of Flamingos. In late afternoon we move to the beautiful lake naivasha for spotting some hippos. After that we went to hell’s gate for riding a 16km street of bicycle with our cycle guide Joseph, it was. Mesmerizing experience
Day 4: Early morning drive to lake naivaisha, where we are accompanied by a boat driver who takes us around the lake naivasha, lastly we had a beautiful beautiful by walking extremely close to some beautiful water bucks, giraffes, wilder beasts, gazelles and zebras
Day 5: early morning longgggggg journey to the world famous Masai Mara to watch some big cats... we reached in late afternoon for lunch and went for an evening game drive where we spotted leopards & a full cheetah family.
Day 6: having game drives and our breakfast and lunch in the middle of a jungle! What an experience !
Super super super thank you to Explorer Kenya team & Jonathan who is not your average safari guide but a guy who really wants you to have the best of time while you are there.
Whatever you need in Kenya just ask Jonathan and his connections would fix you up.
Loved the trip, a memorable honeymoon.
We still have a day to go, we are now on our way to Nairobi for a PCR test and taking the flight back tomorrow for our home countries.

12 perfect safari days
We (a family of 8 persons) had the best safari ever and highly recommend Explorer Kenya. From the first contact until saying goodbye, you just can't expect more.
Everything was well organized and Jonathan and Douglas were the cherry on the cake!
There are probably no other such lovely, friendly, experienced and safe drivers / guides. They did everything to give us unforgettable sightings and moments. We felt completely comfortable and safe at all times. Jonathan and Douglas: Asante sana for 12 wonderful days of safari in Kenya and we would love to see you again!
