7 day safari through Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire (2 persons)
5/5

Our overall experience with Tanzania Journeys could not have been better.

Booking/pre-trip; Fran was very thorough and responded quickly throughout the booking and payment process.
The manager, John, was responsive during our time in Tanzania.

Safari guide; Our guide, also named John, was absolutely the best. His knowledge of the animals, plants, and geological formations was unprecedented. The information John provided made the trip so much more than just a chance to take pictures of animals. There was a very good balance of talking, silence, waiting, and moving on to other sites. John also has an obvious appreciation of the wildlife and passion for his job. And John is an excellent driver (which is very important given the rugged conditions).

Luxury Camping Accommodations:
1. Serengeti Halisi camp was my favorite. The staff were the friendliest and most helpful. Listening to the animals at night was a great experience. Good food and very comfortable.
2. Migunga Tented Camp was also very comfortable was good food and nice staff.
3. Whistling Thorn Tented camp was my least favorite although we still had a nice time. The staff were nice but a bit awkward. Leading up to the camp is a long stretch of road with a lot of Maasai beggars, which also made it an awkward experience.

Lodges:
1. Rhino lodge was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable.

everything was well organized, Vincent is an excellent driver guide, the trip was a big adventure
5/5

- communication with Francesca was excellent
- service was very good
- the trip was amazing
- the hotels, especially the camps and their staff are (serengeti halisi and lake Natron halisi camp) wonderful
only safari prices seem to be quite high, but that seems to be an overall tanzanian issu - same scubadiving in Zanzibar...Usambara Mountains are lower in price but amazing as well

Thanks again

Professional and correct.
5/5

Our Safari tour was just great. A very good, educated, courteous, eagle eyed guide (Aggrey) with a very professional attitude.
The tented lodges were perfect and clean. The local staff was very service-minded but their knowledge of English is mostly quite limited.

In general the food was good. The lunch boxes are a bit strange for us. A sandwich with just mayonaise or grated cheese on it...
This is not really what we eat in Europe. Once the food in the lunchbox was moldy and we had to trow it away.
Suggestion: keep the lunchboxes in the fridge.

Overall a fantastic holiday which we will never forget! Thank you Aggrey!

I went on a group safari with Tanzania Journeys. From the start i had great communication and replies to all my answers by the staff. So we prepared the trip with patience and care together. Upon arriving i was pleasantly surprised that all was even better than described: the hotels, lodges, tent, food. Our driver guide was a terrific person with vast knowledge of the bush and the animals. He showed us and explained us everything . I would definitely use Tanzania Journeys again.Do they organise safaris in Kenya too? Absolutely reliable. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️

Extremely professional, organized, detail-oriented outfitter from start to end for Kilimanjaro trek
5/5

I found Tanzania Journeys after reviewing outfitters profiled as treating their porters/guides humanely and fairly. My initial communication with Fran was prompt, professional, and informative. From that point forward, all of the pre-departure planning was seamless. The actual trek of Kilimanjaro could not have been any better. We were paired with head guide Reggie and his associates - and all of the porters of course. Meals were great and filling. Tents and pads were clean and reasonably well-maintained. Part of my decision-making came down to price and Tanzania Journeys was pretty competitive. Would definitely recommend without hesitation!

Amazing guide, perfect itinerary
5/5

First safiri of my life. It was a truly amazing experience.
Besides the animals and the landscape, the tour organisation and guide were integral parts of our adventure.
Our guide Aggrey was extraordinarily good. He knew so much about the animals, geology and the plants.
He had a sixth sense for spotting all kind of animals.
Besides that he was a humorous and open-minded guy.
Also the chosen lodges were superb, especially the food in Halisi Tented Lodge was outstanding.
I can fully recommend this company, in particular the guide!

Absolutley the best possible experience for a Safari, driver guide, organisation - simply the best!
5/5

Everything was perfect about the trip. We planned it at very short notice following a recommendation from a friend. Communication by email and a single phone call - U.K. to Moshi. We had no idea what to look for, no experience of Tanzania or East Africa in general, so TanzaniaJourneys provided a provisional itinerary and we went along with it. I can't believe how fortunate we've been. We had a wonderful driver/guide, who in one week showed us what the various national parks and conservation areas had to offer. Just my wife and myself in our own Landcruiser with a raised lid! Brilliant, I spent virtually the whole of everyday standing up and trying to spot animals before Godlisten (our guide). I succeeded only once - and that was a herd of elephants. He knew just where to find the big five and much more besides. Hugely knowledgeable about all the animals and birds and it was a joy to be in his company.
We just cannot thank these guys enough. It wasn't just the driving and guiding, it was the superb organisation. Everything happened just as it was supposed to. Even the Wildebeast (Gnu to you) were migrating to order.
The choice of overnight lodges was equally superb.
Many, many thanks guys.

If you want to experience the real heart of Africa, this is a must do Safari with the best Co.
5/5

We travelled from oz and experienced so much I could write a book. The co is gr8 to deal with, everything they planned for our 8 day Safari from Hotel in Arusha to side trip to Moshi prior , esp our drivers, for our two Safari 4x4's & they were fantastic drivers/ guides, true gentlemen. Our driver was Godlisten....and v skilled offroad & on everything animal, flora & fauna....we saw it all, the big 5 & loved our night stays in deluxe Safari tent resorts which in some cases were huge, with en suites, all meals included were gr8 too.....we visited parks on the way to the Serengeti & back & stayed in two lodges too. One being the Lobo Lodge in the magnificent Serengeti, they arranged a balloon ride at dawn over the Serengeti that we wanted to do too, I must do even tho its expensive at $ us 500ea it is something priceless & which we will never forget...floating above the acacia trees in the early morning haze! ........we didn't want it to end and would return again if we could. Since our trip, we have had two of our friends and our son has had 3 work clients take the same Safari ...all raving about it and best if all it won't bust your budget either it was v reasonably priced and true value too, unlike the glossy travel biggies that charge twice as much. If u have any questions & want to see pix do contact us via pm on Face Book under me CB.
