Uncredible Safari
4/5

We had a wonderful safari, we‘ve seen many animals, not just the Big Five. Often we could see the animals up close, elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards, hippos... Our driver and guide, Hoza, has brought us many unforgettable moments, sometimes we were alone for a long time. Hoza was very welcoming, he was very knowledgeable and knew where to find the animals. He has patiently fulfilled every photo request and my wish to see also little elephants.
Evelyn and her team took care of everything in advance and after the Safari, we werde very happy with the service.
The only downside was the partly worn and broken equipment (chairs!). In addition, the sanitary facilities on the campsite in the Serengeti were extremely neglected, some of the doors of the toilets were hung and there was no light ...

Wonderfully organised, amazing guide and unbeatable game viewing
5/5

Evelyn was very helpful and clear from our first contact and no detail was left unchecked, she and George even came to see us after the tour to see how it went.
Our guide Hozza was wonderful, his knowledge on wildlife, local history and environment and tribes in the area is fascinating. He tried to teach us basic Swahili and new and interesting facts about animals every day. On the night that an inquisitive hyena wandered into camp he even escorted us to the bathroom to ensure we felt safe.
Hozza honestly made an already amazing trip into something truly special.
The vehicle was very comfortable and spacious and very well looked after, his driving skills (especially when taking the quality of the roads into consideration) are phenomenal!
We did a mix of budget and mid range accommodation and every night was a fabulous new experience. Basic camping is a great experience, though perhaps not everyone’s cup of tea, you feel so close to nature. Tent sleeping is not the most comfortable experience, though definitely worth trying for a night, if you can afford to us the tented camps they are a spectacular experience, luxury from another era.
At no point on this trip were we dissatisfied with our choice of tour company and can only sing their praises and thank them for a once in a lifetime experience!
Asante sana Hozza, Evelyn, George, Isaac and Goodluck!

7 days Mt. Kilimanjaro, Machame route
5/5

We were a small group climbing mount Kilimanjaro in a 7 days hike up the Machame route. All along, from the first emails and up till we got back to Arusha after the climb, Evelyn and the team were outstanding! The guides were professional and the crew was great, as well as all of the equipment we received (tents, mattresses, food tent etc.). Definitely recommend them!

Once in a lifetime experience! Would highly recommend.
5/5

Evelyn and George (a local husband and wife team) made booking so easy and catered to everything we wanted from our trip. We booked a private tour (which i would highly recommend if your budget allows) and in comparison to other companies, was only a bit more expensive than grouped tours! We got airport pick up/drop off which was a bonus plus an extra night at the Arusha hotel so we could have a look around the town. They also came to see us at the hotel before we left on Safari to explain everything in person and also visited us on our return to check everything was ok, which i wasn't expecting. Great customer Service!
Our guide Hoza was AMAZING!! He has 10 years experience under his belt and has a relaxed, calm manner that i really enjoyed. Nothing was ever too much trouble, he always made sure we were ok...even if that means chasing a rather large Hyena out of camp, or stopping a cheeky monkey from trying to steal our lunch! Hoza has the best knowledge! He could answer every question, tell us every species of bird or antelope etc. He would pull books out so we could read up about what we had just seen and each night after dinner he would sit with us and chat about what we had seen that day. He was very patient with us constantly stopping to take photos and on the last day he managed to spot, adult male lions which was something i really wanted to see. Having him as our guide was a privilege and made the trip even more special.
We stayed in lodges, basic camping and tented camping, which i would recommend to get an all-round experience. Although basic camping will not be for everyone, as it is not the best night's sleep you'll ever have, but it is worth it to hear Serengeti come to life at night.
We got to see the big 5, a Leopard eating it's kill, a Cheetah and her cubs, Lions mating..I could go on! But the highlight for me was heading to the Northern Circuit where we got to witness the migration of the wilder-beast crossing the Mara river - around 8000 stampeded pass us...Just spectacular!

Amazing Memorable Experience
5/5

7 wonders Safari was absolutely hands down the most professional tour company I have ever experienced. Having never stepped in the country of Africa, it was extremely stressful to plan everything to the T. I want to start by giving Eve a shoutout, she was our contact from start to finish. From the very beginning before even asking for a budget, she was SUPER helpful. She was honest and that is what I appreciate the most. She wasn’t trying to make a quick buck, she was extremely diligent in keeping us honest and our expectations realistic. On top of that she gave as amazing price and accommodations for a 12 day trip through Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar. From transportation to hotel (tent at campsites) everything was just easy. Our group consisted of 8, and essentially we just showed up and and followed our schedule with our driver and enjoyed our time. I also think what made our trip valuable were the drivers that Eve paired us with. In Kenya we were with David, he was a young man that has been doing tours for 7 years. Being from the USA, he was extremely relatable. I enjoyed my conversations with him, from geopolitics to the different animals he showed us. It was quite an experience and he made the ride easy, fun and smooth. In Tanzania we were with A driver name George. When I tell you this man was passionate, I am not kidding. He is extremely smart, and just knew where every animal was at any given moment. I saw everything with him, from lions to cheetahs. I loved my time with him, and thought I created a lifelong bond with him. I can’t thank Eve and 7 wonders enough! Zanzibar was very touristy and we were on our own, we were on the coast and I highly recommend staying at tea house and doing the prison island tour. There are turtles that are 150 years old and are huge! Every camp site we went through, from Kenya to Tanzania, every person was professional and accommodating. The food was great and they were all home made meals. I can’t stress enough how enjoyable this trip was! In our preliminary planning stages, our group researched about 20 companies, I am super happy we chose 7 wonders, and recommend anyone giving them a shot to plan out your vacation and safari!

A wonderful experience that I will never forget!
5/5

If I could give 7 Wonders 10 stars out of 5 I would. We had the most wonderful time on our 7 day camping safari with them. We were incredibly well looked after by our Guide, Hozza, and Cook, Izak. We couldn't have asked for two better people to show us around Lake Natron, Serengeti, Ngorogoro and Lake Manyara, and keep our bellies full with delicious food. Caring, professional, friendly and knowledgeable, they both went out of there way to make our experience memorable.
Seven Wonders pre-trip communication was exceptional. Evelyn was quick to respond to any queries we had, and they were able to easily accommodate our request to adjust our safari to visit Lake Natron, and spend an extra night in Serengeti.
Terrific value for money!!
I highly recommend 7 Wonders. I have been on safaris with other companies, which have also been wonderful experiences, but I rate 7 Wonders as the best of the companies I have travelled with. Thank you Hozza, Izak, Evelyn and all the 7 Wonders team!! Melissa

Awesome Adventurous Honeymoon
5/5

For our honeymoon, we chose the 6-day safari with seven wonders to which we added a 1 day hike of Kilimanjaro and a 1 day tour of Dar es Salaam for a total of 8 days. Seven Wonders was very responsive and had a nice itinerary for us. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and would recommend Seven Wonders to anyone. It was an adventurous journey and the company is reliable and trustworthy. Their drivers and tour guides were always on time; and they were all very nice and attentive.

To start the trip, the Seven Wonders driver (Good Luck) picked us up from our bed and breakfast and our Kilimanjaro guide (Gasto). Good Luck and Gasto were both very nice, energetic, and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our hike with Gasto (17 km roundtrip; not including the hike to a waterfall we were too tired for) where we saw some blue monkeys and colorful birds. We were especially thankful that Gasto took good care of us while one of us had unpleasantly fast bowel movements (presumably from malarone, anti-malarial medicine). This was definitely a highlight of the trip.

We were especially thankful for our safari driver and guide, Amos, who was very nice, very aware of our needs, and had a keen eye for animals. He always stopped for us to take pictures if he heard us talking about what we saw, and was patient until we both said we were okay to move on. He also would try to get us to good spots or talk to other drivers for us when they blocked our vision. We also appreciated that he agreed with us that aggressively getting close to the animals isn't nice, and he was able to usually position us where animals would walk by us without blocking their path.

Awesome things we saw: Cheetah chasing Thompson Gazelle and 2 hyenas coming to steal it (chase was unsuccessful, Serengetti); stopped very close to a Buffalo we didn't know was there, grazing and hanging out with a bird (Lake Manyara); two elephant families meeting by a waterhole and "asking" (loudly) to share the water (Tarangire); a Lion family walking to drink water and rest after eating a Zebra (Serengetti); various grazers sharing the waterhole as if they wanted to sing about a baby lion (Tarangire); lots of Wildebeast and Zebra walking in a line (Ngorongoro); seeing (and hearing) a group of 10+ hyenas eating a baby buffalo.

In Dar es Salaam, our city guide and driver, Julius, was very fun, easygoing, and knowledgeable about the city--he's a native that would answer some questions with "I'm a Dar es Salaam guy". We only had time to see a few things, but we really enjoyed the national museum for the music and dance experience and seeing how even in Dar es Salaam a lot of people know what tribes their family comes from.

Our Seven Wonders safari for two, was wonderfully adapted to our needs and interests.
5/5

Communications from the start and over many thousands of kilometres, we are based in Australia, were great.
We called into the office in Arusha the day before we started our safari and as a consequence were able to express our individual interests ( big cats and birds). This resulted in us having a brand new copy of Birds of East Africa on the trip. We were also able to change a cultural day to an extra day in the Serengeti.
I had no preconceived expectations but was thrilled with every day. Definitely, to do the areas (Lakes Natron and Manyara, Ngorogoro Crater and Serengeti) justice, you need at least 7 days.
We were just 2 single women and had 2 Seven Wonders staff to look after us- Isak, our chef, and Hozza our guide and driver. They were the best!
It was a visual feast - of animals, birds and events.
We tried to stay away from large numbers of people-taking the paths less travelled,we were served our meals at the Serengeti camp at a table outside our tent, we didn't have the regular, environmentally-unfriendly picnic lunch boxes and in general it was so much fun. Awesome! Thank you Seven Wonders.

Good safari, great customer service
4/5

We went for a 10 day safari, 3 in kenya on the Maasai Mara, with then a transfer to Arusha and several days more of safari, including Ngorogoro and the Serengetti.

Evelyn for 7 wonders is great, she took care of everything and if there was a small issue she solved it straight away. Accomodations were all as advertised and sometimes better. Staff on the safari's was good (though our kenyan driver Benson was a bit of a hustler)

all in all would definitely recommend

A nice experience (after the diarrhoea)
4/5

More information on the locations can be found on these blogs:

The pre-trip communication was good, with Evelyn being a quick and helpful responder. This was important as Air Tanzania changed our flight time by 4 hours, which would have resulted in us missing the first day of the tour. Her quick replies helped us make a decision to get a different flight.

The safaris were great - a great number of animals and we saw something interesting each time we got into the car. Having done many safaris, the guide wasn't as enthusiastic or informative as I expected. He also sometimes didn't explain his decisions - we passed a herd of elephants at speed and I hadn't seen any that day - it turned out that he was getting us quickly to see a leopard, but that message wasn't relayed at the time. Nonetheless, he made us feel safe and looked after us the whole time.

The food was reasonable considering the cook only had one hob to use. The cook was very helpful, particularly when I was sick, and I was a bit horrified to find that he had to sleep in the kitchen and didn't have his own tent or share with the guide.

Having had diarrhoea for about 24 hours in the Serengeti, I would recommend that toilet roll is taken in the car. I got lucky that someone else gave me some of theirs.

Overall we had a very nice time.
