They're experts and it shows
5/5

We used ATI to organize a 12 days self drive tour in Namibia.
During the planning process, Corinna (our agent) was patient, respectful and provided many good suggestions based on my comments, questions and feedback.
When we met her in Namibia, she was equally thorough and gave us all the information we needed. There was a lot of useful details, such as a highlighted map, a local charged cell phone and insurance info.
All the places she recommended were excellent.
We had a stress free holiday with all the adventure we were looking for but without any bad surprise.
I would use them again and would not hesitate to recommend them

Amazing Holiday
5/5

My family and I have just returned from what was the most amazing holiday. From start to finish ATI had provided a professional and courteous service. The destinations, excursions and accomodation they suggested was of the highest quality yet frreindly and welcoming. We could not fault any of the arrangements and are busy recommending them to our friends who wish to see Namibia.

ATI Holidays Exceeded All Expectations
5/5

ATI Holidays planned a 12 day self-drive itinerary for my friend and I.

When we decided to travel to Namibia, we began planning by reading extensively about the country, and prioritizing our list of what we wanted to see and do. As this was our first trip to Namibia (and Africa!) we decided we felt more comfortable with some assistance from a local tour operator but did not want to take a group tour. Our price range fell into the one to two dollar sign "$" category in Lonely Planet (when comparing accommodations), and I was ambivalent at how much additional cost working with middle man might incur. However, I began conversations with a representative at ATI Holidays as well as one other Namibian operator, and learned quite a bit it the process. ATI was slightly more expensive, but I felt that their package was more comprehensive (honestly it was the inclusion of auto insurance and an emergency cell phone into the package that sealed the deal for me) and therefore I felt more comfortable with them.

Pre Trip:
ATI representative Monica was extremely helpful with setting up our program and listening to our itinerary requests. ATI has fixed itineraries listed on their website, but worked with us to adjust the itinerary based on our preferences of what we wanted to see and do. Our finalized itinerary began in Windhoek, then we drove up to Africat , Etosha, around to Grootberg, Swakopmund/Walvis Bay, Sossusvlei, and circled back to Windhoek. ATI's pre trip packet with travel details was also extremely helpful.

Upon arrival:
Although we would be traveling on our own, Monica, our ATI representative, met with us our first day to bring us trip materials including a carefully labeled map, cooler for water, and cell phone, and to help facilitate the delivery of our rental car. We felt very taken care of with emergency numbers, preparatory anecdotes, and a rental car that was far nicer than we anticipated.

Along the way:
Each accommodation was nicer than the one before (except for our final night in Windhoek, which was a pension we added on at the end). Based on our review of each lodge in guide books, it seemed as though they were out of our price range. However, they were all quoted to me again within a reasonable ATI holidays package. For those of you who are debating working with an operator or not, this is certainly one of the benefits: negotiated rates.

During my trip prep, I found reading reviews and traveler experiences to be very helpful, but it is also important to understand a bit of the background of the person who is writing the review. So now a bit about my friend/travel companion and I:
We decided to plan a vacation together as best friends who both enjoy travel. We are American women in our late 20's. We are outdoorsy and athletic, but did not want to have to worry about pitching a tent every night and therefore opted to stay in lodges (it is vacation afterall). This was our first trip to Africa. I work in customer service and logistics in the luxury educational travel industry (and am very picky!). We had a limited amount of time to travel and wanted to focus all of our energy on getting to know one country as best as we could in the time at hand.

Namibia speaks for itself. Drop dead gorgeous landscape and natural wonders. A solid tourism infrastructure that is still relatively undiscovered. Even at Sossusvlei, we never felt overcrowding.

I highly recommend at least beginning a conversation with ATI Holidays. You will be glad you did.

Amazing holiday with ATI
5/5

We did a two week self drive around Namibia, it was an incredible holiday.

Cameron helped us book all the accommodation and the route before we went, he did everything from the emergency phone to suggesting we have two spare tyre's which were needed.

He came to meet us and even bought a map with the route already on for us. The accommodation and restaurants booked were all spot on, and we had a brilliant time. I would happily use ATI again.

Thank you for your help.

The highlights of Namibia in 15 days
5/5

The itinerary was very thoughtful. We travelled to, in this order, Damaraland, Etosha, Okonjima, Swakopmund, Wolwedans, with a return to Windhoek in the middle for Christmas with friends.

We self-drove for part but also took 4 internal flights with Scenic Air. Logistics were faultless. ATI were excellent, which is very reassuring when you have 3 children with you (12, 10 and 8).

Etosha was quiet but we still managed (on the trip) to see elephant, lion, rhino (black and white), giraffe, leopard, cheetah etc. Not to mention kayaking with seals which was very special.

I particularly recommend Mowani Mountain Camp and Wolwedans. These are landscapes you will never forget with beautiful accommodation and a sense of peace, far away from the digital blizzard in which we all now live.

For Europeans, Namibia is still mostly an undiscovered gem. For a family with sense of adventure, I recommend it unreservedly.

Fantastic, beautifully crafted trip
5/5

ATI put together a bespoke 2 week trip around Namibia for 2 adults and 3 children (aged 8-12), with the added wrinkle of us wanting 2 nights back in Windhoek in the middle. The whole trip was beautifully put together, the logistics were seamless (being met at the airport, transfers, internal flights, having a hire car delivered, pre-booking restaurants and activities, providing us with mobile phone & emergency medical insurance - everyone was utterly punctual and helpful). They were very good at suggesting the itinerary and various lodges, tweaking according to our preferences. We stayed in Mowani, Ongava, Okonjima, Swakopmund Luxury Suits and Wolwedans - all were excellent. Fantastic game drives, awesome landscapes. Wholeheartedly recommended. A fantastic and memorable trip.

Amazing Service
5/5

I contacted ATI base on a friend's recommendation to book a 2 week trip on short notice. They were very responsive and offered different options for lodges and transportation (fly-in, driver, self-drive). All the correspondence by email was fast and with a lot of details. They were also really accommodating when I extended my trip for a couple of days at the end. I would highly recommend them to anyone coming to Africa for their first time or experienced travellers that want to be hassle free.

Outstandingly organised tour of a great destination (Namibia)
5/5

Everything ATI organised for my tour of Namibia (Windhoek, Soussevlai, Swakopmund, Etosha) was excellent:
- always responsive in communications
- delivered exactly what I asked (at short notice too)
- very trustworthy
- very understanding of my needs (which incorporated a high degree of safety and comfort)
- overall a great experience

The highlight of our one year round the world trip
5/5

We booked a one month self driven tour of Namibia through ATI Holidays shortly after arriving in Windhoek. We rarely use travel agents or other booking services, preferring to make our own arrangements but our lack of prior planning suggested hiring an agent was our best option. Thankfully we went this route because the trip planned by ATI was outstanding, the highlight of our year long round the world trip. An ATI representative met with us to review our objectives, what we wanted to see, our budget and time constraints and came up with an itinerary that covered much of Namibia and included 5 days in Botswana. We rented a truck with rooftop tents and stayed in campgrounds for most of the trip with a few days in guesthouses. The campgrounds and accommodations were generally very nice. We would certainly work with ATI again, highly recommended.

ATI Holidays is simply superb!
5/5

ATI Holidays think of everything. Every little detail is taken care of. From booking the accommodation, car and activities to restaurants and taking care of special details like birthdays and anniversaries. And when something does go wrong along the way, they have a 24-hot line. They do their absolute best to keep their clients happy.
